Wrestling may be more popular nationally than it was before Vince, but point blank, the life of the average wrestler was worse off because of Vince. Killed any chances for unionization, encouraged steroid and heavier drug use, refused to give them healthcare, etc.

I dunno how I can lay it out any further lol, WWF is successful, but not nearly as successful as they were in real life. Mania is a success and everything, but Vince doesn't rake in the funds he does IRL. This leaves him unable to hoard as much talent as he can, while Bill Watts isn't forced to close because of the Oklahoma oil crash, and Verne nets a more profitable ESPN deal, and gets talents like Randy Savage.

To be fair this is the farthest you've laid it out for many of us
