now just to be clear this isn't geared at any one of you, it's been pretty prominent for the first 4 rounds
I will no longer be bouncing any songs back to you because it doesn't fit the theme. One is because it's becoming a lot to keep going back and forth with people and two because I want other's opinions on if it's metal/round theme enough. That way it isn't just my opinion that matters.
In future rounds when ranking the songs if there is a song that you just don't feel should be in this round you may put and asterisk by the song, every asterisk is a penalty point which will be added to that songs total for the round.
Also please double check your song choices against what's already been taken in BOTS and sideBOTS. I will try and compose a playlist of the metal songs from BOTS that have been taken on Spotify. If anyone doesn't have access to Spotify please let me know.
Another thing I'd like to address is that I unfortunately have gotten the feeling through the first rounds that some people aren't giving new songs that they haven't heard much of a listen. BOTS and especially sideBOTS is about helping people discover new songs and bands. So from now on I am asking (since I really have no way of making you) that everyone listen to new songs at least a few times all the way through before ranking. You have 72 hours there's really no reason you can't give some new stuff a longer look. It's very important that people are in this to give new stuff a chance especially in sideBOTS.
If any of this sours you on this then you can opt out and there will be no will ill from me and I'd be more than happy to have you back in regular BOTS or a future sideBOTS in a genre you are more familiar with. Just let me know below if you want to.
