-- The UK Sun has posted an interview with TNA referee Earl Hebner. Hebner covers a lot of ground, including why he enjoys working for TNA over WWE, his son Brian, his favorite matches and of course, the Montreal Screwjob. You can read the interview in its entirety at this link. Regarding Montreal, Hebner says, "I love Bret Hart to death. It was something I was asked to do. Told to do, in fact. If it was today, I would never do it. WWE has treated me, my brother and my son awful wrong for the things that we did. Especially my brother, who took care of the office on the road for a long time and made them lots of money. I did the bad things to get the jobs done because some of the other refs didn’t want to do it or didn’t know how to do it. You've got to be a team player. If I’d have known then how I was going to be treated later in my career with WWE, I never would have done it. But at the time I didn’t know. It’s all hindsight."

^yeah thats very true. but Vince really shouldnt have treated him like crap after the Screwjob. He told him to do it and he did. why in the hell would you punish someone for doing something you say.

TNA are attention whores, putting their name beside WWE (mentioning WWE in every other interview also ) is just for promoting their company. What a cheap butts.

^ Because we all know trying to promote your own company is a very stupid idea...

I don't think Vinnie Mac needed to fire Earl, a suspension would have been fine. Either way though, he's just a referee, but probably one of the best referees in pro wrestling

Yeah generally when you catch someone stealing from your company, you fire them at the very least. Use your fucking head.

The Sun is a pile of shit newspaper.

Don't really care what Hebner has to say either.

I'm full of amazing contributions such as these.

Yeah seriously, how was he punished after the Montreal screw job? He wasn't. Its Vince's fault the fans still to this day chant "You Screwed Bret" to Hebner? No. If it had been Tim White he'd still be getting that chant too. I never heard of any mis treatment of his son. As a matter of fact he was still reffing for the WWE after Earl & Dave Hebner's termination. Earl & Dave stealing from the company bottom line, they get fired. They got what they deserved. It doesn't matter how much they contributed, stealing is stealing and thats what they did. So he can bitch about being mistreated by WWE, but the way any fan saw it, the Hebners were treated like royalty....Hell they were as over as any Main Event star. But at the end of the day they got what they deserved. Nothing more, nothing less.

Earl Hebner is not one of the best referee's ever....

He's THEE best referee ever, period. So TNA has the best referee ever, and the best pure wrestler ever (Angle) Nice.

WWE has......Charles Robinson? And uh, That son in-law guy, what's his name again.

Yeah, and don't forget WWE has the ability to summon more than 80 000 people just for one event, better pyro, better production, much more credibility, much more money, much more ratings.

Oh, and at least that son in law you bash so more doesn't seem like he is going to die every time he enters the ring
