hopefully its the beginning of a good mid card division on raw. they have a lot of people that could make the mid card division the best part of raw. they could have rey mysterio, cm punk, kofi kingston, lance cade, santino marella, and maybe a few others all fight for the ic championship. they could make it an athletic division...

Not at all...

I predicted everything in that NOC before the event, But had Cm Punk in my mind instead of Kofi Kingston...

But it needed to happen, Y2J longest reign with the least defenses.. He was n't defending it or even bringing it out with him...

KOFi as champion will be as it can build him more into upper midcard and feud with the likes of Paul Brichall, cody rhodes, ted jr, lance cade, santino,... Raw got alot of ruthless hungry young Man that want to make a name and Kofi as Champion is a good footstep for these future WWE talent...

Plus Kofi was very popular on ECW and he gained it very quickly.. So I'm happy Kofi drafted to raw/Smackdown, because he doesn't need ECW..

You need to push the future youth talent while your pushing the current top...

But Y2J getting a re-match so this could be one of those Regal Lostin the euro title on UK ppv and win it back on next TV.. But i seriously hope that doesnt happen..

nah-man...

if they make him world-champion...then yes, they're pushing him too fast...

if he's in the main event, then yes...he's being pushed too fast...

but at the moment, it doesn't seem like WWE-will "Carlito-up" Kofi by pushing him too-hard...

hopefully just a upper-midcard'-umaga'ish push...(with him winning, like umaga in 06).

I'm cool with Kofi...he a brother like me.

No. Maybe it's because he was brought up to WWE a few months ago, but still, no. He's a fantastic athlete, and I think it's great he's getting pushed. Fantastic athlete, he's over with the fans, he has charisma. So for me, it's fine that he has the Intercontinental Championship.

Off topic, I want to see Shelton Benjamin become United States Champion on Smackdown!.

I have already created a thread about this but...

I think this was a good push, but not one that necessarily needed to go to Kofi, who could have stayed on ECW and got to the Main Event before recieving his push.

Even so, I think the WWE are heading in the right direction with this as now worthy superstars can fight and actually compete for the title.

No, nnot at all.
Firstly, I know it may sound weird, but one reason he's being pushed is he has a great attitude apparently. That goes a long way, because they will know that he will keep woring even when being pushed, and keep trying to get better.
Another thing is, hes a great athlete. So, its not like right now hes a main eventer or anything, hes just getting a midcard push, which is fine, and he deserves it as he's a great athlete.

And finally, he is way over. I mean, the crowd loves him, and that determines peoples pushes...

Bottom line is, its only a midcard push, and Ive seen people get pushed alot faster than him, so Im happy with it.

I agree with all of you that the push was a great idea and it will make the Raw mid card really interesting

Hopefully in the coming weeks we get to see such intercontinental title matchyups where the champion actually takes his title to the ring and defends it.

I woulod also love to see
Kofi v Punk
v Cade
v Jericho
v Mysterio
v Deuce
v Striker
v Palumbo
v Burchill
v Marella
v London

All of those would be great matches and interesting feuds IMO...

Do you see Kofi Kingston becoming a staple of the WWE in the future?
yes. if he's being pushed like this then yes. he has the talent and ability to preform.
Do you think his move to Raw was a good idea?
Its a better idea than him being in the land of crapiness. at least on Raw he'll be given some notice.
Do you think he was deserving of a push like this?
he has worked hard on the struggling brand and brought it some good matches so yes.
Who do you see Kofi Kingston feuding with for the title?
Chris Jericho or Rey Mysterio after Jericho. In all i want Kofi to be a heel. that would be good TV.

He's not being pushed too fast at all he should have been pushed along time ago imo. He deserved the IC belt definitely.
