well theme spec is actually a positive thing, especially if you think the host puts time and effort into flavour. As quite often it can be used to put puzzle pieces together, with even fake claim often offering a lay of information

Except Smark has much more wit to tie his characters to complete theme spec.

Plus, character reveals are not allowed in this game. It's an extremely moot point.

Unfortunately for you, flavor reveal is also disallowed this game.

Let's also note some of this here:

-There will be a lot of role overlap.
-Some of the time it will be town/town, scum/scum, or even town/scum so I wouldn't hunt on this alone.
-I would seriously suggest not hunting on flavor, it can lead you astray.
-There is always a strong possibility of players changing alignments.
-Either given a choice, not given a choice or activated purely off how the game unfolds.
-The game will be alerted publicly whenever a piece of the board switches sides.

i like the public reveal that a switch in role has taken place. don't think i've played like that before. gives town more of a chance if there is recruiting going down.

Also, for clarification, you’re allowed to speculate they might be the postman character if they claimed they were a messenger role. What’s not allowed is for the person with the messenger role to confirm or deny that they are at the postman in the movie.

That being said, always be wary about hunting on flavor.
