Canadian Dragon

The Ace of WS
I'm going to sound really basic, but Number of the Beast and Powerslave lol. Fear of the Dark is also great. Weakest probably Virtual XI and I sound like an NPC from these things.
that's a fair assessment, my top 3 is Powerslave, Piece of Mind and Seventh Son of the Seventh Son

Number of the Beast is a weak album, but I get why a lot of people like it.

For me, my top would be Powerslave, Somewhere in Time, and A Matter of Life and Death

TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION
You say Number of the Beast is a weak album but for me it has my favourite of the "lesser known" Maiden songs in The Prisoner in addition to the well acknowledged classics

TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION
Finished Senjutsu, and with that, Iron Maiden's back catalogue is now complete. I've got to say, the last few albums were indicative that a certain songwriting formula (subdued intro, band comes in, heavy verses, some guitar solos, subdued outro, 8 minutes plus) ran dry a long time ago. Doesn't help that these songs are often loaded on to the back of the album so they run together. Feels like Steve Harris was replaced with an AI that's been trained exclusively on tribute band covers of Hallowed Be Thy Name

My overall thoughts:

1. The Number of the Beast
2. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
3. Powerslave
4. Somewhere in Time
5. Piece of Mind
6. Fear of the Dark
7. Iron Maiden
8. Killers
9. No Prayer For the Dying
10. The Book of Souls (the Bruce tracks at the start and end HARD carry this one)
11. A Matter of Life and Death
12. The Final Frontier
13. Dance of Death
14. Senjutsu
15. Brave New World
16. Virtual XI
17. The X Factor
