So Roman Reigns is about to surpass 1,000 days as world champion and will obviously eclipse Pedro Morales’ reign of 1,027 days. This record alone is something no one thought would ever be broken because the era of multi year reigns was a thing of the past. With Pedro’s record about to be in the rear view mirror, he will then be gunning for Hulk Hogan, Bob Backlund and yes… Bruno Sammartino. The legendary 7 year reign. While most people don’t think WWE would possibly allow Roman to be champ for 7 years, I’m starting to think it is a possibility. WWE loves to make history and having Roman break an unbreakable record is a good way to do it. He’d have to be champ for another 4 and 1/2 years to accomplish this.
So my question is what are the odds they actually go all the way and allow Roman to be the longest reigning WWE champion of all time? Is it possible? Would it work? Would the fans maintain interest? Thoughts?
