One Night Stand (2008) will be the fourth annual One Night Stand professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). It will take place on June 1, 2008 at the San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, California and will feature talent from the Raw, SmackDown, and ECW brands. The tagline is "The one night a year when WWE goes extreme."

Card:
Last Man Standing match for the WWE Championship: Triple H (c) vs. Randy Orton
Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship: The Undertaker vs. Edge
- If Undertaker loses, he will be fired from WWE.
Stretcher match: Shawn Michaels vs. Batista
Falls Count Anywhere match: Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga
Singapore Cane on a Pole match: CM Punk vs. John Morrison vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. The Big Show
- The winner will receive an ECW Championship match at Night of Champions.
I Quit match: Melina vs. Beth

So looks like Trips/Orton in a LMS match again. Should be good, but two of the same matches in a feud is kinda old if you ask me. First blood between JBL and Cena should be good. PPV is looking decent so far.

Gotta say i like the card up to now hope HBK/Tista is better than there other match that they had reckon it will be. Cena vs JBL should be decent match they seem to work pretty well together, HHH vs Orton LMS should be another good match they work really well and haven't really put on a shit match together, although judgement day was a bit flat it wasn't crap and there other LMS match was shit hot. Does anyone think that HHH will lose the belt?? I don't think he will well i hope he don't, but i have my reservation also about this match and Randy regaining his title in a sort of he is the ultimate in LMS matches, bit like HHH and Taker in HIAC matches.

The only thing that i hope for is to actually have extreme wrestling like the PPV says. Last year's ONS was pretty good so i hope it can be a step up from last year. But dont trust WWE with extreme wrestling!

mixed about this...its usually one of the best PPVs of the year. at the same time, this is giving me that extreme rules judgment day feeling again..like last year. but it turned out good last time so i dunno..

i agree with you. And apparently there is supposed to be a TLC match at ONS. Not sure who the competitors are but there will be Tables Ladders and Chairs for the first time in just over 2 1/2 years.

Ugh, I hate matches with stipulations like "if you lose you leave WWE." Before there was at least a chance that Edge would win, but now, the match is barely worth watching.

The card looks really good so far HBK/Batista, Hardy/Umaga, HHH/Orton and Taker/Edge should all be good matches. I agree with Roxxi though, I hate the fact they added a stupid retirement stipulation to the TLC match because it tells you Undertaker is going to win just like the Angle/Joe match at Lockdown..

Other then that, I don't really have a problem with anything. Just get some other guys on the PPV too like Matt & MVP.

I'm sure i read that edge was taking time off or wanted time off. Maybe that's the way they gonna do it he loses and leaves then when he comes back its on raw. I dunno but unless Taker is injured i cant see him leaving. So my guess edge leaves for his time off or what ever.

Really looking forward to this PPV actually. I'm debating on whether to buy this or Slammiversary, and right now, they both look pretty solid, but ONS looks better tbh. TLC match has potential to be MOTY candidate if done correctly. I'm looking forward o seeing how Taker will ascend the ladder. Should be worth a few lol's.
