Edge Face Turn

Over the past long while, Edge has gotten really stale, and something needs to be done. His feuds with Batista and Taker are just old. I don't just think having feuds w/ others will change him either. It's still going to be the same type of guy and antics coming and happening. The only way I see him freshening up and me getting into him again would be a face turn. He's been a heel now for a good 4+ years and needs a change. No don't get me wrong, Edge works much better as a heel than a face, it's just time for a change.

Thoughts? Any other things you could think of?

Edge doesn't need a heel turn, not at all. Edge is one of the best heels the business has seen in god knows how long. He simply cannot work as a face, and his "Ultimate Oppurtunist" and "Rated R" gimmick is fresh.

The thing that is stale, is SD! as a whole. We've seen every feud there is too see. Edge/Taker, Taker/Batista, Edge/Batista have all been crammed down our throats for months now. They have all been very good, but it's time for something fresh on THE SHOW. Not Edge, he's fine.

If Triple H's ego wasn't so damn big, he could cure that problem along with Show and Umaga..

Edge is going to stay as a heel until he retires. He is good as a face, but needs good heels and Edge provides that.

A fresh promo and we are all cured. Remember how it good felt, despite how people hate Rey Rey, and fresh the Rey vs Edge feud was. We just need somebody else rather than Taker and Batista.

WWE has proven that, see Batista, he was stale as shit and with feuds with Umaga and HBK he is back on track

Damn, I forgot all about the Rey Rey feud. Took a break from Smackdown during that time, so I don't know if it was that fresh, but I'm sure it was.

Edge vs CM Punk, Edge vs Big Show, Edge vs Chavo Guerrero, all these feuds I could like happening and could give a new direction to his character.

I agree that he has been stale a bit lately. However, I dont think the fans would accept him face. Because yes, he was face before, but all his glory and fame has been as a heel and they literally hate him as a heel, I dont think it would work.
Sure, it may happen at some point, but I think right now, WWE doesnt need to.
Its more due tothe lack of roster that hes gone stale. I mean if Punk goes ME on smackdown, amybe add a guy like Kennedy, you have two great new rivals.

I think the thing that could Edge back on top is a return to the way he was with Christian...I mean he could make fun of soooo many things nowadays & he would be perfect to do that for awhile.

Edge doesn't like being face, he's said it before.

Only Randy Orton can come close to him in being the top heel in the company so it wouldn't make sense to change him.

Plus he's not a heel that ever scores clean wins. He's the ultimate opportunist and it would be too big of a turn for him to start winning cleanly again.

Triple H changed from heel to face very easily because he scored cleans wins and physically dominated opponents thereby earning respect.

Edge doesn't have any respect from the fans, they just loathe him. It's a brilliant position for him to be in and they'd be silly to change it.

I think Smackdown is unfairly criticised. They have a great roster but they just seem to want to keep replaying the same championship matches over and over.

I just think all they need to do is bring a few different guys into the championship picture.

An Edge face change would make no sense. It would completely be the end of the Rated R gimmick...which honestly hasn't been running as strong as it was when he was on RAW...seeing as Smackdown is aimed at a slightly younger audience.
Just be patient, I'm sure within a few months we'll see Edge/Punk....Edge/Chavo... Edge/Mysterio.......perhaps even Edge/Show.

TBH, I really hope Edge goes face. Yes he is a much better heel but I don't want him ti get what happened to Cena. Cena was face for what 5 - 6 years straight or something along those lines, then the fans got sick and bored with him, if they leave Edge heel then he will get boring and as peepshow said, stale. I think if he went face for atleast a year it would do alot of good. and then have him turn back to a heel after a year or so which would be really good imo...

Who says the fans don't respect Edge? Anybody who goes so far as to hire people to dress like him and distract opponents gets all my respect.

As much as I love seeing long-time heels turn face and vice versa, now just isn't the time. The Undertaker and the possible Chavo feuds need to be wrapped up first. Maybe then, upon realizing that using the GM isn't doing him any good anymore, Edge can suddenly just spear Vickie, since at this point Hitler could slap her and get cheered as a face. A few weeks of Vickie trying to get revenge by putting him against monster heels and Edge will be a face, like Mr. Kennedy.

Edge as a face, lacks just that... An edge. He's just a smiley, ultra-face. Very dull.

Simiar to some members' talk of turning MVP face, I just don't see any reason. There's plenty in the pipeline for Edge as a heel.
