I do agree it would've delayed it. I don't see AWA surviving into the huge wrestling boom but I could invision it being the 4th big company behind ECW up until 96 or 97

Nah, people forget AWA had a deal with ESPN, which in the 80s and 90s was a huge broadcaster. If Hogan stays a few more years, ESPN keeps the deal going for a while while AWA builds up more stars, possibly even gets a few major names like DiBiase and the UWF guys.
