I like CZW, I really do...

But, some of their wrestlers are horrible. I mean, I love Cheech & Cloudy, Sabian, Ruckus, Danny Demanto, Brodie FUCKING Lee, etc. But half the roster is full of non-talented assholes like Brain Damage. I especially hate those damn Naptown dragons. They're pretty sloppy in the ring, and usually end up botching a couple of moves. With that being said, I actually enjoy a lot of the stuff CZW does. I just dont understand how half of the roster is talented nobodies, and the other half is non-talented somebodies. It seems the worst wrestlers are considered great, while the actual talented half are considered mediocre. Well, I have no clue why I felt the need for this thread. I guess I was pretty bored...:thumb_yello:

I was seriously going to make a thread on this tonight. :/

I was watching a Tables, Lightubes, and Chairs match from the Tournament of Death last night between Dustin Lee and Drake Younger, and it was pretty much awesome. Not a whole lot of wrestling, but the action was good.

Then I watched the match between John Zandig and Nick Mondo, where Mondo was bombed off the top of a 40ft building onto lightubes and tables. I was talking to HHHForever last night about this, and his quote is still making me chuckle. "HOLY SHIT, this is like Passion of the Christ". And seriously, it was true. Mondo's back was shreds of skin and covered red.

Seriously though, he brought up a great point. Why the hell do they do this? They are prolly getting paid like $500 or less per show and doing this and tearing their bodies apart. Why? You seriously can't tell me it's for the passion of wrestling. This is like barbaric. Fun to watch at times, but seriously, it's like WTF.

I feel the exact same way. I'm pretty sure they're not getting paid much at all. Its like they have a total disregard for their bodies, because I definitely wouldn't even think about doing the things these guys do. Like you said, it can be entertaining at times, and CZW has toned down its product in the last couple of years, but still...wtf.

Again, I really like CZW. Its exciting and unpredictable, and at times its fucking disgusting , which can be a good thing. The funny thing about CZW is the amount of children in the audience. Its like damn, how can a parent let their 12 year old kid watch men smash sheets of glass over each others heads

Man... CZW has become a total joke. They still have some good guys, but at times it feels like they're just picking up random people and throwing them in the ring to see what happens.

You look at the undercard, and its just incredible to see how bad some of these guys are.

That's what pretty much ended Nick Mondo's career, he was already wrestling the match with 3 broken bones in his right wrist and after taking that bump doctors referred to the injury as a gun shot wound (I'm pretty sure he ended up slicing an artery due to the bump but I'm not 100% sure though). I have to give him credit though he continued the match and went on to win the TOD 2...and for that he will always be my God!

"Sick" Nick Mondo forever!

Yeah, pretty much. The guys who actually have talent are stuck in mediocrity, while the the shittiest guys are pushed. Brain Damage is probably one of the worst workers I've ever seen.

 so thats what he's doing with himself these days? Working at Blockbuster? Thats pretty sad to be quite honest.

I'm actually surprised this thread got more than one response, I mean its CZW for gods sake.

Well, Nick Mondo decided to follow the footsteps of Justin Credible and Shane Douglas by working at a retail store... At least its not Target >_>

And Brain Damage ranks among the most aptly named wrestlers in history. You watch and either you'll get brain damage, or you'll truly believe that the man has some sort of defect in his brain.

That match I saw last night was fucking ridiculous, it wasn't even a match or wrestling tbqh. I mean it was sweet, but at the same time I'm just sitting there like what the fuck is this guy even thinking?

While the spots they do are very entertaining, there's no way I could ever get into this product full time. The actual wrestling is a joke. I could put on a better match with a Blue person. This seems to me like a bunch of lesser talented Jeff Hardy's doing 50 times more insane things. Like I said it's cool to watch some of their stuff, but if you're actually watching for wrestling that's not what you're going to get. It's pretty much just 2 people beating the fuck out of each other with whatever they can get their hands on.

Also whoever said that about the little kids in the crowd that's a very good point. There's no way in hell I'll let my little kid go see an event like that live. They should have a minimum age on their events because there's no way little kids should be watching that stuff. It's insanely brutal.

The TOD match you saw happened ages ago, CZW toned down their product quite a bit. They actually have decent wrestlers that are very capable of putting on very good matches, trust me.

And that's what CZW is, they pride themselves on being more hardcore then any other wrestling organizations out today. Of course it's not for everyone the people who like it watch it, the people who don't.. just don't watch it....And with the kids being there, the parents know before hand what goes on in CZW it's "Ultraviolent" wrestling and if you're comfortable with allowing your children to watch this type of "entertainment" then by all means lets them be.

What saddens me about CZW is they had so much steam coming off of the feud with ROH, and while ROH has continued to grow, CZW... Well, let's just say they haven't grown a lot.

At least they've given us this great gimmick.... Hollywood Dylan Summers

Yeah, that's Necro.

The funny thing about that whole feud is, Zandig was pissed when he found out about it. He was actually against the idea of having an inter-promotional war with ROH even though it was awesome imo. Atm the only thing CZW really has going for them is the awesomeness which is "Hollywood" Necro Butcher
