Genichiro Tenryu Hospitalized Due To Cervical Spinal Cord Injury | Fightful News
Best wishes to Genichiro Tenryu.
He has competed for all the top promotions during his career, which began in 1976 and concluded in 2015, including AJPW, NJPW, Pro Wrestling NOAH, WWE, and WCW. He had his retirement match in November 2015 against Kazuchika Okada.Tenryu wrestled in All Japan, not New Japan. Regardless though I hope he recovers and does fine.
He was mostly known for his time in AJPW where he along with Jumbo Tsuruta helped made AJPW become what it became, and later became the ace for the promotion. He has competed for all the top promotions during his career, which began in 1976 and concluded in 2015, including AJPW, NJPW, Pro Wrestling NOAH, WWE, and WCW. Tbf, I wouldn't be against this being an NJPW/AJPW sub-section, but that's neither here nor there.
I hope Tenryuu gets better soon. I hope it isn't as serious as it could be.
there's bugger companies than AJPW in Japan now, it would make more sense to have a Japanese section but that's also most of the international forum without NJPW
NJPW is the only global Japanese company that runs shows regularly in America and it has a million stickied threads at a time that are all worthy so I'd like this section to stay as is though lol
Mean between Baba dying, his wife being what/how she was/is, and so on it makes sense sadly. As well, New Japan storylines are easy for people to follow unlike All Japan and suchWhich is very depressing when you think about it. How the mighty have fallen since the 1990s.
