Goldberg is all done apologizing to Bret Hart.
The WWE Hall-of-Famer appeared on Talk is Jericho and spoke about Hart's criticism of Goldberg regarding their Starrcade 99 match that left Hart with a concussion and led to the end of his in-ring career.
"He's an idol to anybody and everybody who would have ever been in this business. I'm a human being like everybody else and there was absolutely no malicious intent whatsoever, none, zero," Goldberg said.
"Does it bother me? Yeah, I'll take it to my grave. But also, I got to say, and I'm kind of at a turning point, I'm done saying, 'I'm sorry.' I've said it a million times and I'm not going to continue to tear myself down, I'm done. I said, 'I'm sorry,' if he can't accept my apology, it is what it is, you've got to move on and I've moved on."
During Goldberg's appearance on Chris Jericho's podcast, the two also discussed a physical confrontation they got into during Goldberg's first turn in WWE. Jericho believes that others were trying to pit the two of them against each other.
"I firmly believe that we had our backstage brew ha ha, scuffle backstage, that was manipulated, I think, by other people to kind of pit us against each other," Jericho said on the show.
"I don't believe that one was because of the true animosity you and I had for each other, it was a stage that was set by other people and we just followed out the storyline," Goldberg added. "I will apologize to the end of my days for that."
"Me too," Jericho responded. "That was not something I was very proud about either, especially the fact that it was online 20 minutes later. That's why I was like, 'this was all a setup' and we fell for it."
