I will go ahead and say no because that would be pretty fascist to dictate who can put who on ignore and for what reason. Everyone's entitled to place someone non-staff on ignore for whatever reason they want, even if it's hateful because we as staff aren't in a position to make presumptions based on something we tell people to use all the time when dealing with people you just don't want to deal with.

Would you really want staff dictating who people can or cannot ignore? Either everyone can ignore everyone, or nobody can ignore anyone, and frankly, the latter is more frustrating and depressing than just not having to see their stuff.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. I'm sure something hateful will slip out soon anyway.

It’s always embarrassing when certain conservatives will only entertain right of center people that follow their exact thought process when the right is probably the most diverse it’s ever been.

To some people. In the US, Gay, women and POC who vote Republican or lean conservative are often mocked for not being real women, POC or traitors to the LGBT. Because certain people on the left truly believe these blocks to monolithic and if you step outside the left, you’re either selling out or hate yourself enough to be used and other derogatory stuff like that. Now of course there are bigots on the right that don’t want them on their side, either, but most people see and condemn bigotry. You’d be surprised how persuasive the thought of “traitors” to their gender, cause or skin color is in the states.
