The police response in Texas was fucking abhorrent, and every single cop involved should be stripped of their office and sued for every cent of their worth. They allowed kids to die while they cowered and refused to enter the school; they gave away key positions and were directly responsible for at least one death during the shooting, and they broke all kinds of protocol by rescuing their own kids even while the shooter was still alive. Governor Abbott then, literal hours after the shooting, goes to a fundraiser? The whole state of Texas is a big fucking sham state.
Yep... There is so much wrong with multiple police forces/departments in the US. It's so much, it will take years, maybe even decades to actually change what is going so blatantly wrong. Some police departments of small towns get military style equipment and vehicles approved and funded, while the next town over they don't do their fucking job when it actually matters.
I’m normally a pretty strong supporter of police officers but if they were fucking outside the room while the children were alive and calling for police and begging for help, to me they can all gets fucked and I hope they all get absolutely wrecked by civil damages lawsuits.
Wouldn't surprise me if they don't.
they were too busy getting physical with parents outside. apparently only 2 officers went in, to save THEIR OWN KIDS. fuck these people

Apparently, cops are not obligated to protect people... but if your duty is to enforce the laws of not only the state but the country, you'd think murder would be something they'd want to, I dunno... STOP!?
Exactly. Like, shit just upsets the fuck out of me. From what I read this shit went on for over a fucking hour. Think of the lives saved if they actually went in and did their damn jobs.
I mean, for fuck's sake, the shooter didn't even have any armor or protection on? He was shooting outside the school for a full 12 minutes before he entered the school. They fucking just let him walk in. They pulled him over as a suspect long before the shooting, and they just let him go. The police of Uvalde don't deserve 40% of the city's budget. No matter what, these cops are the fucking bums of the country, and I hope they all lose their jobs.

If you're a police officer, your job is to serve and protect. It's their fucking job to do that. And if you can't do that, find a job that's suited for you. I'm beyond disgusted that they did absolutely nothing to protect innocent lives being taken away by a mentally crazed mass murderer. Unbelievable!
