Actually a lot of its cheaper or about the same with inflation is took into account. Like the PS2, in todays price it’s about 18 or so dollar’s cheaper than a PS5.

I'll have to ask my dad if he had to pay $900 online for a PS2 on release, granted I didn't get one right away. I know scalpers always existed, but the scarcity in the pandemic was so bad they started producing PS4s again lmao
