The show opens to a stadium mostly filled with fans. Adam and Lily-Ann Florés are standing in the ring, waving to everyone. The commentary for this weeks’ show will be provided by CM Punk and Christian Cage.

“Welcome everyone to the very first airing of Florés Family Wrestling! The FFW!” Punk announced. “If you haven’t heard of me yet, I’m CM Punk, and my broadcast partner tonight is Christian Cage.”

“They know who I am, Punk. I’ve never been pinned, never submitted, I brought the ladder match to TNA!” Christian boasted, thrusting his finger to point at Punk at key points of his speech. “I am undefeated; I am the main event; I am the Instant Classic Christian Cage!”

“You’re the main event, eh? Alright, when the time comes, go on and step up for the main event tonight.” Punk replied with a smile.

Christian just sneered and looked at the camera again.

“But we’ll get to that later.” Punk said, turning his attention back to the viewer. “Ladies and gentlemen, our founders Adam and Lily-Ann Florés are in the ring now, and they’re about to make their address to you all.”

Adam and Lily-Ann conversed briefly with each other before turning their attention back to the audience. Adam was the first to raise his microphone and speak.

“Hello, everyone!” Adam called out. The audience cheered enthusiastically in response.

“Welcome to the show!” Lily-Ann added, prolonging the audience cheer.

“I’m Adam Florés, and this is my twin sister Lily-Ann!” Adam continued. “We’ve got a heck of a first show for you all, because as of this moment the Heavyweight Title, X-Division Title, Tag Team Title, and Women’s Title are all vacant. But by the end of tonight every one of those championships will be filled!

“And that first championship match is coming up right now!” Lily-Ann announced. “Our opening match tonight, FFWs’ first ever match: An Over the Top Rope Battle Royal for the Women’s’ Championship!”

The crowd cheered enthusiastically as Adam and Lily-Ann exited the ring. As they walked up the ramp the entrance theme of the first competitor – ODB – started to play.

-------------------------------

The girls came down the ramp one by one, with Melina being the last one out. As per usual, she jumped into the air and fell down into the splits, ducking under the bottom rope and sliding into the ring.

“Damn, that is fun to watch.” Christian said with a grin.

“Think with the head on your shoulders, Christian.” Punk said with a smirk.

Women’s Championship Match
Over the Top Rope Battle Royal

Roxxi Laveaux vs. Beth Phoenix vs. ODB vs. Melina vs. Christy Hemme vs. Ms. Brooks vs. Maria vs. Jackie Moore

The girls all stood against the ropes, staring at each other waiting for someone to make the first move. After a few moments this staredown broke up when Beth Phoenix turned to her left and delivered a powerful right-hand to Maria, knocking her to the ground with the one blow. Immediately each girl turned to the nearest one and opened up exchanging lefts and rights.

Beth Phoenix broke this up. She grabbed Maria and sent her to the opposite ropes, where she bounced off and ran into a double axe handle shot to the chest. Maria slammed against the mat from the shot.

Roxxi Laveaux and Melina, who were previously exchanging shots, were distracted by Maria’s scream of pain and turned to look at Beth. Realizing Beth would be the hardest to send over the top rope, Melina smacked Roxxi’s shoulder to get her attention and said something to her. Beth looked at the two and just smirked, motioning with one hand to bring it on.

Suddenly, ODB ran and kicked Beth square in the back. Beth was knocked forward into two elbow strikes to the face, one from Roxxi and one from Melina. Wasting no time Roxxi and Melina grabbed one of Beth’s arms each and ran her to the ropes, attempting to throw her over. Beth took the top tope to the gut from this and struggled to remain in the ring. ODB ran forward and helped Roxxi and Melina in grabbing Beth’s feet, flipping her over and sending her over the top rope. Beth hit the ground and was eliminated.

Roxxi, Melina, and ODB looked at each other with satisfied expressions. Suddenly Jackie Moore and Ms. Brooks, who had seemingly formed a team of their own, ran forward and delivered a clothesline and lariat to Melina and ODB, respectively. Melina and ODB flipped over the top rope and hit the ground.

Roxxi strafed past Jackie and Brooks as they were recovering from their attacks, only to run into a kick to the gut and a snap DDT from Christy Hemme. Jackie and Brooks, still at the ropes, yelled to Christy to send Roxxi over. Christy smiled, grabbed Roxxi, and yanked her to her feet. Christy launched Roxxi to Jackie and Brooks, who waited to push Roxxi over the top rope.

At the last moment, Roxxi delivered a lariat to Brooks as she was pushed. Roxxi was sent over the top rope, but the lariat took Brooks with her. Roxxi and Brooks both hit the ground.

Only Christy Hemme, Jackie Moore, and Maria remained. The three looked at each other, waiting for someone to make a move.

Jackie broke the staredown by suddenly delivering a spin kick to Christy. Maria took this opportunity to run to the ropes, ducking under a clothesline from Jackie. She bounced off and delivered an inverted jumping bulldog of sorts, the move impacting the back of Jackie’s head as she was facing Maria.

Christy, who had recovered from the kick, grabbed Jackie and yanked her to her feet. In one quick motion she hit Jackie with an inverted DDT. Jackie let out a pained scream and clutched the back of her head. Oblivious to this, Christy yanked Jackie to her feet again and signaled to Maria. Maria nodded, took hold of Jackie, and the two ran Jackie over the top rope. Jackie hit the ground, but hit the back of her head again on impact.

Maria looked at Jackie from the ring, her face full of concern as a ring official had to help Jackie stand and escort her from the ring.

Taking advantage of this, Christy simply grabbed Maria’s ankles and threw them to the side over the top rope. Maria landed on the outer edge of the ring to face Christy. Before she could react, however, Christy grabbed Maria’s head and used the top rope to give Maria a neckbreaker. Maria snapped off the top rope and hit the ground.

“And that’s it! We have a winner!” Christian exclaimed.

“What the heck was that? What a sorry excuse for a win.” Punk replied with mild disgust.

“That’s what happens when you don’t look out for number one in the ring, Punk.” Christian retaliated. “It doesn’t matter if you bash your opponent open out there; go see him after the match if you care so much. When you’re in there, if you’re not there to win, you won’t!”

Christy grabbed the Women’s Championship Belt from referee Charles Robinson and proudly raised it above her with both hands.

“Yeah!! That’s right!!” She screamed out to an audience that was divided in its’ reactions.

-------------------------------

Adam and Lily-Ann stood in their office, watching the match on screen.

“…damn, that was hot.” Adam said after a few moments.

“You suck.” Lily-Ann replied.

“So do you, I hear, and apparently you’re not that good at it.” Adam retaliated.

Before Lily-Ann could respond, the door burst open and Mr. Kennedy stormed in.

“You could have knocked.” Adam said calmly.

“Funny, funny man.” Kennedy said loudly. “I’ve been looking over your schedule tonight and I noticed something. No Kennedy!”

“Now hold on.” Adam started, raising a hand to try to calm Kennedy down.

“No Kennedy in the X-Division championship, no Kennedy in the Heavyweight championship…” Kennedy said, counting off his fingers. “Not even a Kennedy in the lousy Tag Team championship. It’s the first show of your little family get-together and you don’t even have the sense to put me in a match!”

“Hold on!!” Adam exclaimed.

“What.” Kennedy demanded.

“There could be a Kennedy in the Heavyweight championship match tonight.” Adam said.

Kennedy began to open his mouth.

“BUT!!” Adam quickly interrupted. “You can’t volunteer until later on tonight. Now, the X-Division match is coming up. Come back when it’s over and if you still want to be in the Heavyweight match, I’ll sign you up.”

Kennedy smiled at this. “I’ll be back.” He said, and walked out.

Adam and Lily-Ann stared out the door, watching Kennedy leave.

Finally Lily-Ann broke the silence.

“What’s wrong with the Tag Team championship?” She asked.

-------------------------------

CM Punk and Christian Cage sat at the announce table, waiting for the next match to begin.

“Wow, its day one and Mr. Kennedy is already running his mouth.” Punk said, shaking his head.

“Yeah, really.” Christian replied. “If anyone is signing up for that Heavyweight championship match it’s gonna be the Instant Classic: Christian Cage and lemme just warn you now, after this match is over I’m outta here.”

“Some nice job dedication from you.” Punk said, turning his attention to the audience. “Well, ladies and gentlemen, the next match of the evening is coming up: a ladder match for the X-Division championship. We should see plenty of high-flying from our competitors here tonight.”

“Yeah, it’ll be interesting to see just how badly these guys screw up my match.” Christian added. “I brought the ladder match to TNA, I made it famous, so all I can say is I look forward to these guys’ interpretation.”

One by one the competitors made their way to the ring: AJ Styles, Brian Kendrick, Jesse, and Eric Young. A single ladder proudly stood in the ring, with the X-Division championship suspended in the air above it.

Eric Young was the last to enter the ring, and once he did, the match began.

X-Division Championship Match
Ladder Match

AJ Styles vs. Brian Kendrick vs. Jesse vs. Eric Young

The four men stood in separate corners, looking from the ladder to each of their opponents.

Jesse made the first move by deciding to simply run for the ladder. He grabbed on and proceeded to climb as fast as he could, but was stopped almost immediately as he was knocked off the ladder by a dropkick from AJ Styles. Jesse was knocked into a roll and fell out of the ring.

Brian Kendrick also took the opportunity to run to the ladder, but was stopped when Eric Young grabbed his foot. Kendrick looked back, saw Young, and used his free foot to kick Young in the face. Young was knocked back, but once again ran forward and grabbed Kendrick, this time yanking him and throwing him off the ladder onto his stomach.

Styles had taken this opportunity to climb the ladder, and was nearing the top. Young grabbed the ladder and yelled to get Styles’ attention. Styles looked, saw Young, and froze in place. Young too stood in place, waiting to shake the ladder the second Styles tried to climb any higher

The standoff was interrupted by Kendrick, who delivered a dropkick to Young’s back. Young was knocked into the ladder, bounced off, and fell to the mat. Styles fell off the ladder from the impact and hit the ground, where he was suddenly hit with a diving splash from Jesse.

Wasting no time, Jesse got to his feet and ran around the ladder.

“Come on, let’s go!” He yelled enthusiastically to Kendrick.

Kendrick looked at the championship hanging above, but knew he couldn’t climb the ladder fast enough. He ran forward to throw a left, but was blocked by Jesse, who connected with his own. Kendrick was knocked back, and Jesse ran forward to attempt a monkey flip. Kendrick countered with a back elbow before Jesse could get a grip, and quickly followed with a hurricarana. Jesse sailed over Kendrick and landed on his back.

Eric Young took this distraction to deliver a double-knee backbreaker to Kendrick. Kendrick fell to the side, but before young could get up, he was hit with a superman splash from a recovered AJ Styles.

Seeing his opportunity Styles ran to the ladder and began to climb, only to be stopped by Jesse who wrapped his arms around Styles waist. Jesse quickly yanked Styles off the ladder with a German suplex.

Jesse got to his feet, visibly starting to slow down, and began to climb the ladder. He neared the top, but was stopped when Kendrick and Young grabbed one of his feet each. Kendrick and Young nodded to each other and yanked Jesse down. The force of both men launched Jesse to the edge of the ring, his feet hanging out to the side before he stopped moving.

Kendrick and Young now looked at each other, realizing for the moment there was nobody else to team up against.

Young made the first move, grabbing Kendrick and trying to launch him against the ropes. Kendrick reversed it and threw Young at the ropes, and prepared to execute a standing dropkick. Young grabbed the ropes, however, and Kendrick simply fell to the ground, taking most of the impact on his already injured back.

Young ran for the ladder and started to climb, but Styles grabbed his ankle. Styles attempting to yank Young down, but Young held firm. Finally Young kicked at the side of the ladder, driving Styles’ hands against the corner of it. Styles yelped and let go of Young’s ankle. Young quickly continued with a kick to Styles’ face, knocking him flat to the ground and seemingly out cold.

Young quickly climbed the ladder and retrieved the X-Division championship belt.

“And that’s it! We have a win-” CM Punk began, but was interrupted by Christian Cage springing from his seat and running up the ramp to the locker rooms.

“Wow, my broadcast partner wasn’t kidding.” Punk said with an amused smirk. “Look, look at this. His chair is actually spinning here. Well ladies and gentlemen; the new X-Division champion is Showtime Eric Young! This match really was one twist after another, it didn’t look like anyone was going to be able to stay down.”

A replay clip segment began, first showing Young’s backbreaker to Kendrick, followed by Young’s holding the ropes to avoid Kendrick’s dropkick.

“But in the end it was Eric Young who stood out from the rest, first with this devastating backbreaker, then with this quick move here, making Brian Kendrick further hurt himself with the aftereffects of the backbreaker.”

Eric Young proudly raised the belt, then realized he was standing on top of the ladder and quickly grabbed the rungs tightly, climbing down as fast as he could.

-------------------------------

“Well that’s two done, and pretty good matches too.” Adam said, watching the screen. “And this idea to use random superstars as commentators is going much better than I thought it would.”

Lily-Ann, meanwhile, was staring at her watch.

“What are you doing?” Adam asked.

Lily-Ann just held up a hand. She continued to stare at her watch.

Mr. Kennedy suddenly marched into the office again. “I’m here to sign up for the Heavyweight championship match!” He boasted.

“Thirty-five seconds. Unimpressed.” Lily-Ann said, lowering her hand.

“Was that some kind of sex joke?” Adam asked.

“I’m talking to you!!” Kennedy yelled.

Christian Cage, already dressed to compete, now ran into the office too and ran into Kennedy.

“Watch where you’re going, Christian!” Kennedy demanded. “And you can just run back to your little announce table, because I’m entering the Heavyweight title match.”

“Not before me, you’re not.” Christian replied. “If people wanted to see a bleach-blond man who fights in his underwear they’d watch Jerry Springer. The people here today paid to see a main event. And the only way to make a main event is to star the main event, the Instant Classic. Christian. Cage.

“Alright, alright, calm down.” Adam said. “I told you to come and volunteer, but before you go throwing your hat in you should know the stipulations.”

“Anything.” Kennedy said.

“Well first of all, the match is one on one against…” Adam began, but someone outside caught his eye. “Oh, there he is. Hey! Get in here! Yes, you!”

Kennedy and Christian turned to look, and slowly backed away from the door as Kane walked in. Kane first looked at Adam and Lily-Ann, then at Kennedy and Christian.

Kennedy and Christian exchanged glances.

“…no problem.” Kennedy finally said, locking eyes with Kane.

“One more thing.” Lily-Ann said. “The big stipulation? The match will be… an Inferno Match.”

Kane slowly smiled at that, staring down Kennedy and Christian. Kennedy and Christian exchanged looks again, and quietly walked around Kane to leave the office. Kane, still smiling, now looked at Adam and Lily-Ann. The two looked back, unsure of exactly what to say.

“What… what do we do if nobody volunteers?” Lily-Ann asked, breaking the silence.

“I guess… if that happens…” Adam began, trying to think of a solution.

“Mr… Kennedy…” Kane interrupted slowly, his grin widening.

“Umm… okay.” Adam said. “If nobody steps up, it will be Kane against Mr. Kennedy.”

-------------------------------

“Well how about that, if nobody comes to take the title shot, Mr. Kennedy will be forced to step up!” CM Punk said. “I guess that’ll teach him to keep that mouth shut… oh, and here’s my broadcast partner back. So what’s the story, Christian, are you the main event as usual?”

Christian still had his competition outfit on, with a simple black t-shirt overtop. “Let’s just get on with it.” Christian said quickly, putting his headset back on. Punk laughed.

Tag Team Championship Match
Matt and Jeff Hardy vs. Team 3D

The match started off with Matt Hardy against Brother Devon. Devon stood in the center of the ring, beckoning Matt to come forward. Matt looked a little uneasy at the size difference between him and Devon. Matt ran back, bounced off the ropes, and charged for Devon, but was quickly slammed to the ground by a lariat from Devon.

Devon grabbed Matt and yanked him to his feet, and launched him at the opposite ropes. Matt grabbed the ropes before he could bounce back. Suddenly Brother Ray walked behind Matt and smacked the back of his head, knocking him forward into a Thesz press by Devon. The ref could only scold Ray for a moment, as he then had to yell at Devon for closed-fist punches on Matt.

Suddenly Jeff ran into the ring and delivered a low dropkick to Devon’s back in retaliation for Ray’s cheap shot. Ray climbed into the ring and proceeded to advance on Jeff with Devon, and the Ref had to stand between them and keep them separated. Jeff and Ray grudgingly returned to their corners.

Matt began to crawl to his corner to tag Jeff, but was stopped as Devon stomped on his back. Devon grabbed Matt by the hair and yanked him to his feet, resulting in another scolding from the Ref. Devon got Matt in a front facelock and hoisted him high into the air, performing a delayed vertical suplex. After a few seconds of this Devon slammed Matt down and went for the cover. Matt kicked out at two.

Again Matt tried to crawl to the ropes. Devon grabbed Matt’s foot and stood up, forcing Matt to stand as well. Matt jumped and delivered a kick to Devon’s head with his free foot, falling to the ground and knocking Devon away. Matt jumped up and finally tagged in Jeff.

Jeff jumped to the top turnbuckle and leapt off, hitting a Whisper in the Wind on a rising Devon. Jeff went for the cover, and Devon threw Jeff off himself at two. Devon got to his knees and began to stand up, turning to go tag Ray in. Jeff ran to Ray’s corner, bounced off the ropes to knock Ray to the ground, and ran to deliver a low dropkick to Devon’s chest. Devon was knocked onto his back.

The Ref ran to keep Ray out of the ring, who was furiously trying to re-enter. Devon was already getting to his feet. Jeff kicked the back of Devon’s knee, bending him back a bit, and grabbed him in an inverted facelock. He raised his free hand for a moment, and attempted to hit an Extreme Twist of Fate, but Devon managed to regain his balance and reversed it into a sidewalk slam. Devon went for the cover, but the Ref was still busy keeping Ray in check. Ray was now screaming at the Ref to make the three-count. The Ref finally noticed what happened after at least five seconds and dove down to make the count, but Jeff kicked out at two.

Devon shook his head in frustration and got up, yanking Jeff up by the hair. He grabbed Jeff in a facelock and hoisted him up for a delayed vertical suplex, but Jeff managed to flip over Devon and land on his feet. Devon spun around to face Jeff only to be kicked by Jeff in the gut. Devon bent forward from the shot, and in a split second Jeff hit Devon with a Twist of Fate. The Ref made the three-count, and the match was over.

Ray jumped out before anyone could react and delivered a running kick to Jeff’s abdomen. Ray continued to stomp on Jeff in frustration. Matt quickly climbed to the top turnbuckle and jumped, delivering a flying elbow smash to Ray’s head. Ray was knocked to the ground, giving Matt and Jeff time to get out of the ring.

“What the hell was that??” CM Punk asked, outraged. “What poor sportsmanship on Brother Ray’s part!”

“The man wasn’t tagged in the whole match and he lost, that’d piss anybody off.” Christian replied. “Besides, you have to watch your back, or that’s gonna happen.”

“Well regardless, Matt and Jeff Hardy are the new Tag Team Champions.” Punk announced.

-------------------------------

Adam and Lily-Ann wandered the halls now, trying to find someone who wanted to be in the Heavyweight championship match.

“Hey, hey!” Adam called to Shad Gaspard and JTG. “How would either of you like to wear Heavyweight Championship gold?”

“Hell yeah!!” Shad exclaimed, running over with JTG with looks of intrigue.

“Great!” Adam said happily. “You just have to do one thing!”

“One thing, two things, you name it!” Shad replied. “You know how much we could sell that belt for? Ah-that money, money!”

Shad and JTG both chanted. “Yeah, yeah!”

“Ah-that money, money!” Shad continued.
“Yeah, yeah!” They chanted together.
“Ah-that money, money!”
“Yeah, yeah!”

“Okay, okay!!” Adam interrupted. “This one thing, the thing you have to do?”

“Anything, you name it.” Shad said.
“Come on, out with it.” JTG added.

“All you have to do is… beat Kane in an Inferno Match.” Adam said.

Shad and JTG’s smiles faded. The little dollar signs one could almost see in their eyes disappeared. They looked at each other, looked at Adam, and walked away.

“This is hopeless.” Adam said, defeated.

“There’s not one person on the damn roster who wants to step into an Inferno Match with Kane.” Lily-Ann summarized.

Suddenly a red light shone behind them, and red smoke started lofting from the stacked boxes behind them. An odd music began to play. Still, Adam and Lily-Ann were oblivious to this.

“Orton, maybe?” Adam asked, mostly talking to himself.

“No, I don’t think he’d go for it…” Lily-Ann replied. “…Miz?”

“No, even he’s not that stupid…” Adam said.

From behind the boxes, the Boogeyman slowly rose up and looked at Adam and Lily-Ann with a huge smile, drool dripping down his chin. He held his signature clock in his hand.

“Rockaby baby on the treetop… when the wind blows the cradle will rock…” Boogeyman sang, making Adam and Lily-Ann spin around to face him. “…when the bow breaks the cradle will fall… and down will come baby cradle and all…”

Boogeyman laughed. “I am the BOOGEYMAN!!” He boomed, smashing the clock over his head. “And I’m comin’ to GET YA!!”

Boogeyman continued to snicker as Adam and Lily-Ann looked at each other, then back at him.

“Want to be in an Inferno Match against Kane?” Lily-Ann asked.

Boogeyman’s smile faded, and he stopped drooling. The music stopped abruptly, the smoke stopped lofting out, and the lights returned to normal. Very nonchalantly, Boogeyman ducked back into the stack of boxes.

“This is pathetic.” Lily-Ann said, walking away. “You didn’t hire ANYONE with a backbone.”
“You went over the roster with me!” Adam protested, following her out.

All was silent now in this area of the locker room. Suddenly, Roxxi Laveaux stepped into view. She looked around for a few moments, curious about something, before slowly turning to the stack of boxes. Before she could do anything, however, she was interrupted by a call from BG James.

“What are you doing, let’s go!” BG yelled from what sounded like quite a distance. Roxxi glanced at the boxes a final time before walking out of view.

-------------------------------

CM Punk smiled a little at the events he witnessed, but he still looked rather uneasy being near the ring which was now surrounded by flames.

“Looks like bad news for Mr. Kennedy.” Punk said.

“Bad news for him, but fun as hell to watch.” Christian Cage replied. “He wanted to be in this match so bad, he wanted to steal the main event status from the Instant Classic: Christian Cage? Well wish granted, Kennedy.” He reached under the announce table and produced a bag of marshmallows. “I’m all set and ready for you.”

There was a massive explosion of flame from the entrance ramp, and Slow Chemical began to play. Kane walked down the ramp, a huge grin on his face.

“Wow, what’s wrong with this guy, how can he enjoy this so much?” Punk asked.

“Fry him, Kane!” Christian yelled.

Kane entered the ring and walked to the center. He raised his arms slowly and thrust them back down. The turnbuckles erupted in their usual geysers of flame, and the fire surrounding the ring leapt up higher than the top rope. It was as if the ring had been swallowed up by Hell itself.

Everyone looked anxiously down the entrance ramp, waiting for someone to come out.

Punk looked at Christian, and noticed his eyes were locked on the Heavyweight title in the Ref’s hands.

“You feeling ok?” Punk asked.

Christian looked at the title, and at Kane. Slowly he got to his feet, an expression like he didn’t believe what he was doing plastered across his face.

“I think…” Punk said to the audience.

Christian slowly removed his headset and stepped away from the announce table. He locked eyes with Kane, who was now looking down and smirking at him. Finally Christian ran and dove under the bottom rope and into the ring. He got to his feet and locked eyes with Kane, wearing a face of disbelief and determination.

“Looks like my broadcast partner Christian Cage has stepped up!” Punk said in surprise. “Someone get down here, get a second commentator down here right now, mine ran away.”

At this request Mr. Kennedy was more than happy to come out. He ran down the entrance ramp and took a seat beside CM Punk.

“Oh sure, now you come out.” Punk said with a smirk.

“Shut your mouth, I want to watch this.” Kennedy replied, grabbing the bag of marshmallows.

Main Event: Heavyweight Championship Match
Inferno Match

Kane vs. Christian Cage

Christian grabbed his shirt, took it off, and harshly threw it to the mat in an attempt to intimidate Kane. Kane just smirked at Christian, and the two locked eyes again.

Christian broke the staredown by rushing forward with a spear attempt, but ran into a right hand by Kane. Christian was knocked to the ground, and the flames erupted upwards on impact. Christian rolled away from the flames in surprise, only to be grabbed by Kane. Kane yanked him up and delivered another right hand, this time only knocking Christian against the ropes.

Kane smirked and walked forward, but Christian brought his legs up and delivered a kick to Kane’s face, knocking him back. Wasting no time, Christian ran forward and this time connected with the spear, taking Kane down and landing on top of him. The flames jumped up at this. Right away he proceeded to hit Kane with rights and lefts, keeping Kane on the defensive.

After a few moments of this, Christian got off Kane and grabbed his foot, very slowly dragging Kane to the flames. Kane yanked his foot back and kicked Christian into a sitting position against the bottom rope. Christian quickly jumped away at this, realizing how close he was, and a moment after he did so the flames leapt up again.

Kane got onto one knee and delivered a right hand to Christian, knocking him away, and got to his feet. He grabbed Christian and launched him against the opposite ropes. Christian bounced off and was sent into a big boot from Kane, knocking him to the ground with another eruption of flame.

Kane grabbed Christian and yanked him to his feet. He shoved Christian away a little and delivered a powerful uppercut to him, knocking him against the ropes. Christian held his throat and gasped for air. Kane smoothly picked Christian up, spun around as to have room to throw Christian, and sent Christian to the mat with a scoop slam. The flames erupted.

Kane walked away from Christian with a smirk, turned back to face him, and raised his right hand high. Christian slowly dragged himself to his feet and staggered towards Kane. Kane grabbed Christian by the neck and prepared to execute a chokeslam, but released grip when Christian kicked him in the gut. Wasting no time, Christian jumped backwards to the second turnbuckle and carefully climbed to the top. Kane turned to look at him, and Christian jumped off and delivered a missile dropkick. The flames erupted, and Kane and Christian both fell to the mat.

Christian got to his feet, staggered over to Kane, and proceeded to deliver stomp after stomp to try to keep Kane down.

After a few moments of this Christian went around behind Kane, grabbed him, and tried to yank him up. Kane slowly got to his feet, mostly on his own power. Once Kane was on his feet Christian hooked Kane’s arms and slowly began to pivot, going for the Unprettier. Once he had completed the rotation Kane broke free and pushed Christian to the ropes. Christian bounced off and was knocked into a big boot to the back of the head by Kane. The flames erupted.

Kane backed away and raised his right hand high once again. Christian slowly got to his feet, and Kane grabbed him by the neck. This time Kane hit the chokeslam successfully, slamming Christian down and making the flames erupt several times.

Kane smirked, reached down, and grabbed Christian by the neck again. He yanked Christian over to the bottom rope and pressed his neck against it, trying to get Christian’s head into the flames. Christian desperately tried to pry Kane’s hand free before quickly giving Kane thumbs to the eyes. Kane let go and staggered back, and Christian rolled away from the flames, gasping for air.

Christian then noticed the shirt he had thrown aside earlier still in the ring. Wasting no time he grabbed it and held it into the fire. The shirt caught, and Christian dove forward, wrapping the shirt around Kane’s ankle. Kane looked down, saw his boot had caught fire and began to laugh.

“That’s it, it’s over, Christian Cage is the new Heavyweight champion!” CM Punk exclaimed.

“Damn it!!” Mr. Kennedy yelled.

The bell rang, but Kane was not finished. Seemingly oblivious to the fact that his boot was on fire he grabbed Christian and threw him under the bottom ropes. Christian’s shins were instantly set ablaze before the flames could be shut off, and Christian began to scream. He pushed himself out of the ring and couldn’t take two steps before falling to the ground, trying to kick the fires out.

That’s what I came out here to see!!” Kennedy said with a laugh.

“Someone get out here and put him out!” Punk yelled.

Medical personnel ran out with fire extinguishers and hastily put Christian out. Kane stood in the ring, his boot still burning, laughing at Christian. One of the medical personnel got to the side of the ring Kane was nearest to and quickly put his boot out without climbing in. Kane glared at him, and the man quickly backed away.

The medical personnel helped Christian to his feet. Christian’s face was full of pain, but he still raised his championship belt as best he could as they put him on the stretcher. Kane just smirked, slowly raised his hands, thrust them down, and the flames erupted once again.

Best Match: Inferno Match was great!

Worst Match: n/a

Best Promo: Wow! What a unique promo writing and I can't pick which one is the best! I better go for the Cyme Tyme/Boogeyman one! Quite hilarious esp when Boogey hide back after they asked him.

Worst Promo: definitley there are no worst promos here!

Additional Feedbacks: What a unique BTB writing here, I never thought of writing a promo not in a dialog form! All matches were great even the Battle Royal. Let's see what will happen next after Cage won the title!

BM: Hardy's vs. Team 3D

WM:
Womens Battle Royal - You may not be biased...but I am.

BP:
I have to agree with the other review BoogeyMan/Cryme Tyme was ... different

I admire the resourceful measures that the Florés Family is going through with this organization. In an effort to
curb expenses, they got wrestlers to pitch in and help out with commentating duties rather than spend money on professionals.
Interesting.

Here’s your review

Over the Top Rope Battle Royal

While I understand your unbiased decision as you chose someone other than Roxxi to win, I still don’t understand how the 2 worst wrestlers in the match managed to both make it down to the final participants, and for one of them to actually win the belt. I mean really? Was Christy really the best choice to walk away as your first Women’s Championship?

Ladder Match

I enjoyed this match, you picked your spots well and, like a ladder match should, you kept it moving at a rigorous pace, as not to bore me. Good job on this match.

Matt and Jeff Hardy vs. Team 3D

Even though I felt the ending was a little rushed, I think the match was solid. I would also suggest using some kind of interactions with the crowd as your heel wrestlers and face wrestlers play of each other and the audience. Otherwise this was another well written match.

Inferno Match

Alright, I will give you your points back with this match after the disappointing women’s match. And not because Kane is my favorite wrestler (well that has something to do with it, I’ll be honest) I loved this match, nothing better than a good old fashioned Inferno match as your main event. I was also impressed the hype you gave this match throughout the show and it did not disappoint. Although I would Loved it more if Kane came out the winner, however you did manage to make the Machine look untouchable post match so I can be happy with that as well.

Overall, I think all the matches were solid except the women’s match. And unless you can actually justify why you would give Christy the Belt before Beth or Melina or Even Traci or Jackie, and not because you like the way Christy looks, I would want an actual reason. If you have a potential storyline planned for Christy as Champ then fair enough, but If you just gave Christy the title just to satisfy the need, then I think you made a mistake. But that’s my opinion, and my opinion only, it’s your show

Nancy's Review

Over the Top Battle Royal
While I thought this was an interesting way to open a show, this exceeded my expectations, yet it still felt too much like your average women's match. But I will be interested where you can take this "Jackie's Injury" angle, if you wish...

Match Rating **3/4

X-Division Ladder Match
I did enjoy this match, and I liked how you increased the pace of the match as time went by, and never slowed it down. A very good match, but there wasn't too much going in or coming out of it.

Match Rating
***3/4

Tag Team Match
Despite the fact this was a good match, it lacked the one thing you look for in a Tag Team Maatch: TAG TEAM WRESTLING. But regardless of my first expectations of the Team 3D and the Hardys teaming against one another, this was still a good match, but not what I hoped for.

Match Rating
***1/4

Main Event
After viewing this match, I've come to the conclusion that not only do you show brawling as a main part of your product. but that it's good. Not only did this match deliver, you kept the two superstars in character with Kane psychotically laughing in the aftermath. All round, a great match.

The show opens to a stadium full of people. Adam and Lily-Ann Florés stood in the ring, microphones in hand, smiling and waving to everyone.

“Welcome everyone to Monday Night FFW!â€￾ Paul London, one of the commentators for tonight, said. “I’m Paul London, and I’ll be doing the commentary tonight with my partner, The Miz.â€￾

“It’s actually kind of refreshing to be out here, Paul.â€￾ Miz said.

“Oh?â€￾ London asked.

“You have no idea how many women attack me back there in that locker room.â€￾ Miz said. “Not complaining, but you know, too much of a good thing. It’s hard to breathe when your mouth is always-â€￾

“Moving on!â€￾ London interrupted. “Adam and Lily-Ann Florés are in the ring now, and apparently they have an announcement to make before the show starts.â€￾

Adam and Lily-Ann waved to the audience for a few more moments before finally speaking.

“Last week, of the four Championship matches we held, two of them ended in injury.â€￾ Adam said. “Christian Cage will be unable to compete until next week due to third degree burns to his legs, and Jackie Moore has suffered a Grade 3 concussion. I’m told she will be out of action indefinitely.â€￾

“Because Christian’s injuries are not severe and he will be able to compete next week, he will be retaining his Heavyweight Championship.â€￾ Lily-Ann said. “As for current Women’s Champion Christy Hemme, because of the controversial-â€￾

“KENNEDY!!â€￾

The name erupted from the speakers, and Mr. Kennedy’s theme began to play. Dressed to compete, Mr. Kennedy stepped out and began to walk down the ramp.

“Is he interrupting the owners?â€￾ London asked.

“You have to rock the boat to get ahead in this business, Paul.â€￾ Miz replied. “That’s why you’ve never been a Heavyweight contender in your entire career.â€￾

Mr. Kennedy stepped into the ring, microphone in hand, and stopped in front of Adam and Lily-Ann.

“So you mean to tell me that the World Champion of your little family party is hiding at home, afraid to even show his face here?â€￾ Kennedy spat.

“He’ll be back next week, Kennedy.â€￾ Adam replied calmly.

“Yeah, yeah.â€￾ Kennedy replied dismissively. “Where I come from, if a Champion can’t even stand on his own two char-broiled feet, he gives it up to someone who can! Some one like…â€￾ He took a breath, “mmmMMISTAAAAR-â€￾

Suddenly, Kennedy was interrupted by the theme music of Kurt Angle. Rather than go through his usual flashy entrance though, Kurt simply stepped out from the locker room with a microphone, accompanied by Karen Angle.

“Don’t even start, save us the headache.â€￾ Kurt said, shaking his head. “As I recall, when it came time to step up against Kane, you ran away with your tail between your legs!â€￾

“Yeah? Well where the hell were you?â€￾ Kennedy demanded. “You didn’t even have the guts to sign up for the match to begin with!â€￾

“I wasn’t here last week, Kennedy. My wife was on her period and I had to stay by her side and feed her chocolate.â€￾ Kurt replied. “It’s the only thing that keeps her mellow. Otherwise she frightens the children.â€￾

Karen, obviously offended, smacked the back of Kurt’s head.

“Ow!! I’m kidding dear, I’m kidding! The chocolate does nothing.â€￾ Kurt said, rubbing his head.

Adam and Lily-Ann at this point were hanging by the ropes, just watching the show.

Karen grabbed the microphone from Kurt. “Adam, Lily-Ann, I know you two are all new at this and everything, but the thing to do now is put these two idiots in a Number One Contenders Match.â€￾

“Would that work, would that shut them up, would that let us start the show?â€￾ Adam asked.

“Fine, done, Kurt and Kennedy for the title shot tonight.â€￾ Lily-Ann replied. “Now the three of you get out of here, we have other stuff to deal with right now.â€￾

Kennedy glared at the two before leaving the ring and walking back up the ramp.

“Like we were saying.â€￾ Adam continued. “Because of the controversial way Christy Hemme won the title, she will be defending it again tonight against the semifinalist of last week’s Battle Royal: Maria. And that match is starting right now.â€￾

“Well there you go, we’re having a title match tonight.â€￾ Paul London said. “If we could get a replay of the controversy last week up…â€￾

A replay started, featuring Maria standing on the bottom rope, asking if an injured Jackie Moore was alright. Then, Christy Hemme grabbed Maria’s ankles, threw her over the top rope, and hit a Neckbreaker on her to send her to the floor.

“You see there, Maria was making sure Jackie Moore was okay, and Christy Hemme clearly took advantage. No guts, nothing.â€￾ London said.

“Yeah, catfights are hot when they get all sassy like this.â€￾ Miz replied with a huge grin.

“…that’s it? That’s your commentary?â€￾ London asked.

“Yes, yes it is.â€￾ Miz replied.

Women’s Championship Match
Christy Hemme (c) Vs. Maria

Christy Hemme and Maria walked towards each other, meeting in the center of the ring.

Maria, furious, shoved Christy away and began yelling at her, the microphones picking up a few things relating to ‘Jackie is hurt’ and ‘What’s wrong with you’. After a few moments of this Christy shoved Maria away and gave her a slap to the face. Maria jerked to the side a little from the hit, rubbing her cheek. She turned back to Christy and delivered a much more powerful slap, not only jerking Christy to the side but forcing her to take a few steps in that direction.

Christy turned back and rushed forward to clothesline Maria. Maria ducked under it, spun around, and gave Christy a backhand slap. Some of the crowd gave a ‘WOOO!!’ at this, though it could just as easily been a ‘That was hot’ thing rather than a Ric Flair reference.

Maria followed up by grabbing Christy’s arm and launching her to the opposite ropes. Christy bounced off and ran into a flying shoulder block from Maria. Maria, uncharacteristically aggressive, harshly grabbed Christy’s shoulder to keep her from falling back too far. She then leapt forward into a handstand and grabbed Christy in a neckscissors.

Christy suddenly grabbed Maria’s abdomen and yanked her up so she was horizontal in the air. Maria then simply fell back, hitting the back of her head. She screamed and let go of Christy, holding the back of her head.

Christy grabbed Maria and yanked her to her feet. Wasting no time, Christy grabbed Maria in an inverted headlock and hit her with an inverted DDT. Christy went for the cover, and Maria kicked out at two.

Christy got to her feet, stomped on Maria’s chest once for good measure, and walked to the corner. She went to the outside and climbed to the top turnbuckle. She waved to the audience for a moment before leaping off, going for a guillotine leg drop.

Suddenly, Jackie Moore grabbed Maria’s ankle from outside the ring and yanked her away, making Christy miss and hit the mat. The Ref didn’t notice, and made the three-count when Maria crawled over to pin Christy.

“And we have a new Women’s Champion!â€￾ Paul London proclaimed. “Thanks to… Miz, you’re drooling.â€￾

“Am not!â€￾ Miz said defensively, wiping his mouth.

“Yeah, well Christy Hemme almost had this match won, when Jackie Moore came out from under the ring and yanked Maria away from that leg drop.â€￾ London said. “Looks like Jackie Moore is out for revenge for what happened last week.â€￾

“But Maria did just as much damage as Christy did, why would Jackie want to help her?â€￾ Miz asked.

“I’m sure we’ll get some answers from Jackie later on tonight.â€￾ London said, turning back to the audience. “Now we’ve still got a lot of action ahead of us, so stick around.â€￾

---------------------------------

Lily-Ann stood in the interview area, with Matt and Jeff Hardy beside her. They each had their Tag Team Championship belts slung over one shoulder.

“I’m joined now by Tag Team Champions Matt and Jeff Hardy.â€￾ Lily-Ann said. “I’m filling in for Maria since she’s in the locker room using an ice pack as a pillow. We really should have thought this commentary and interviewer thing through more.â€￾

“Just do your best, it’s only your second show.â€￾ Matt said.

“Thank you! Well, tonight Jeff you’ve got a one-on-one match against Brother Ray.â€￾ Lily-Ann said. “I mean… what are you gonna do? You can fit inside him!â€￾

Jeff smirked. “You know, Lily-Ann, Brother Ray has been bugging and texting Matt and I all week, saying that we don’t deserve to be Tag Team Champions because we kept it from being a Tag Team match. To that I say, Ray, if you’re too fat to fit through the ropes and get in the ring, that’s not my fault.â€￾

“So you feel you wrestled a Tag Team match last week?â€￾ Lily-Ann asked.

“Lily-Ann, Devon had every opportunity to tag in his partner Ray.â€￾ Matt said. “If they want to say we didn’t wrestle a Tag Team match last week, it’s because we weren’t facing a team.â€￾

With that, Matt and Jeff walked away.

Lily-Ann stood there for a few moments before Tomko stepped into view.

“Oh, Tomko, what is it?â€￾ Lily-Ann asked.

“Are you gonna put me in a match tonight?â€￾ Tomko asked.

“Well it’s not in the schedule… but there’s still space tonight. Alright, I’ll put you in a match against… CM Punk. Sound good?â€￾ Lily-Ann asked.

“Good enough.â€￾ Tomko replied, and walked away.

Lily-Ann stood there for a few moments, and walked away.

All was silent now in the interview area. After a few moments, Roxxi Laveaux stepped into view. She looked around, with a curious look on her face. She looked down, slowly bent down to pick something up, and produced three live worms. She stared at them inquisitively before looking around again, and walked out of view.

---------------------------------

“Wow, what a thing to say!â€￾ Paul London said. “That Brother Ray and Brother Devon aren’t even a tag team!â€￾

“Well that’s getting in your opponent’s head, that’s all that is.â€￾ Miz replied. “I don’t have chicks hanging off me all the time for the fun of it. Well, I do. But it also sends a message.â€￾

“We’d better be afraid of you because you use girls as human shields?â€￾ London asked.

Before Miz could respond, Brother Ray, who was already in the ring with Brother Devon, began yelling at the audience and the entrance ramp.

“EVERYBODY SHUT UP!! ALL OF YOU!â€￾ Ray yelled. “We lost our shot at the Tag Team titles because a pair of LITTLE BOYS didn’t even win a TAG TEAM MATCH! SHUT UP, ALL OF YOU!!â€￾

“I could get some Midol from my girls.â€￾ Miz said quietly.

“So you so-called Hardy Boyz, because you should be called the Hardy BOYFRIENDZ, GET OUT HERE and since you don’t want to have a Tag Team Match, GET IN HERE AND WE’LL GO ONE ON ONE, MAN TO BOYFRIEND!!â€￾ Ray screamed.

At that, Jeff Hardy’s music began to play. Matt and Jeff came out, went through their signature moves, and went down the ramp with Jeff in the lead. The Ref had to keep Ray and Devon back to allow Jeff to enter the ring. After a bit of pushing and yelling the Ref managed to get Devon out of the ring and separate Ray and Jeff for long enough for the bell to be rung.

One-Fall Match
Jeff Hardy Vs. Brother Ray

Jeff ran at Ray, but was slammed to the ground by a big boot from Ray. Ray grabbed Jeff by the hair and threw him onto the ropes, where he delivered a clubbing shot to Jeff’s back. Jeff yelled out in pain and used the ropes to stand, walking to the corner to get away from Ray.

Ray ran forward to continue his attack, but ran into a back elbow from Jeff. Jeff ran forward and continued, throwing right hands to Ray’s head to push him back to the center of the ring. Once they were in the center of the ring Jeff grabbed Ray’s arm to launch him at the ropes. Ray reversed it and sent Jeff for the ropes. Jeff bounced off, ducked under a clothesline from Ray, bounced off the opposite ropes, and hit Ray with a flying shoulder block. Jeff quickly followed this with a standing dropkick to knock Ray against the ropes.

Jeff got to his feet, but was punched square in the face by Ray. Jeff was knocked to the mat, and the Ref scolded Ray for using a closed hand strike. Ray ignored the Ref. He grabbed Jeff by the hair, yanked him to his feet, and scoop slammed him back to the mat. He went for the cover, and Jeff kicked out at two.

Ray quickly got to his feet and began stomping on Jeff over and over. Matt, standing in the corner, raised his hands and began clapping. The crowd quickly followed suit.

“SHUT UP!! ALL OF YOU, SHUT UP!!â€￾ Ray screamed at them, stopping his assault. He stormed over to the ropes and continued to scream at the audience.

Jeff used this distraction to get to his feet. He ran for the opposite ropes, bounced off, and attempted to send Ray over the top rope with a flying clothesline. Ray left his feet for a second, but remained in the ring. Jeff ran back to the opposite ropes, bounced off, and tried a second flying clothesline. Ray, who had turned around, took the clothesline but again remained in the ring. He simply held his neck and coughed a little.

Jeff looked at Matt and shook his head, rather amused by this, but the distraction let Ray smack him to the mat with another closed right hand. Again the Ref scolded him, and again Ray barely glanced at the Ref. Ray grabbed Jeff by the hair, yanked him to his feet, and hoisted him up into a fireman’s carry. Jeff struggled and managed to fall out of the hold, landing behind Ray. Jeff ducked under a clothesline from Ray as he ran to Matt’s corner, leapt onto the second turnbuckle, and hit a Whisper in the Wind on Ray.

Brother Devon, furious, climbed into the ring and went for Jeff. Matt took heed of this and quickly climbed the turnbuckle as Jeff backed away from Devon. Matt jumped off the top turnbuckle and hit a missile dropkick on Devon. Devon was knocked back and fell on Ray, who was on his hands and knees trying to get up.

Seeing his opportunity, Jeff went outside the ring and climbed to the top turnbuckle. He leapt off and hit a Swanton Bomb on Devon, pressing Devon onto Ray. Matt laughed a little at this, and with quite a bit of effort managed to push Devon off Ray. Jeff went for the cover and made the three-count.

“Well that was just disturbing.â€￾ Miz said, shaking his head.

“Disturbing but very effective!â€￾ Paul London said. “And we got to see Jeff use that Whisper in the Wind. I love seeing impressive high-flying moves like that.â€￾

“Yeah, yeah, if you love him so much why don’t you marry him?â€￾ Miz asked.

“That’s… that’s great, Miz. Excellent commentating.â€￾ London said, shaking his head. “Well ladies and gentlemen, up next we have CM Punk against Tomko, and after that, Kurt Angle and Mr. Kennedy duke it out in a Number One Contenders match for the Heavyweight Championship.â€￾

---------------------------------

Adam now stood in the interview area, microphone in hand, beside Jackie Moore. Jackie was looking around, looking lost and confused, and stumbled every so often just trying to stand.

“I’m joined here tonight by Ms. Jackie Moore. Jackie, you-â€￾ Adam began.

“Say… say wha? Jackie Moore?â€￾ Jackie asked a little too loudly. “Who is that?â€￾

“Um… you? You are Jackie Moore.â€￾ Adam said slowly.

“Really?â€￾ Jackie asked, thoroughly confused.

Adam looked around briefly, checking if maybe this was a prank of some kind, before turning back to Jackie. “…so… tonight during the Women’s Championship Match, you came out and cost Christy Hemme the title.â€￾ He said.

“Yeah, that was fun fun FUUUNNNNAHHHH!!â€￾ Jackie said. “…I think. Sounds fun!â€￾

“…yeah.â€￾ Adam said, tilting his head a little to examine Jackie. “I assume it was because of how you received a concussion at the hands of Christy Hemme last week, but it should be noted that Maria did just as much damage. Why would you go after Christy but help Maria?â€￾

“I gotawhaaat?â€￾ Jackie asked, cocking an eyebrow.

“…um… have you been medically cleared to be here tonight, Jackie?â€￾ Adam asked.

Suddenly, Christy Hemme ran on screen with a phone book and smacked Jackie with it. Jackie hit the ground, and Christy wound up and threw the phone book at her.

“Hey, hey, HEY!! STOP!!â€￾ Adam yelled, grabbing Christy and pushing her away from Jackie. “That is NOT how we settle things around here!â€￾

“She cost me my title!!â€￾ Christy yelled.

“And you’re about to cost yourself your job if you don’t get out of here!â€￾ Adam retaliated. “Go!â€￾

Christy glared at Adam, glanced at Jackie, and walked away. Adam watched her leave, and looked as though he was thinking of something.

---------------------------------

“Hot damn, gotta love catfights.â€￾ Miz said with a huge grin.

Paul London just shook his head. “Christy Hemme has a lot of passion, but she’s expressing it totally wrong.â€￾

“What do you mean?â€￾ Miz asked. “If you want your title you do anything to get it. Besides, that was HOT!!â€￾

CM Punk’s music began to play, and he came down to the ring.

“Well here we go, a one on one match between CM Punk and Tomko. Two great competitors with opposite styles, this should be fun to watch.â€￾ London said.

Tomko’s music played and he made his way to the ring.

Suddenly, a ring official stepped into the ring with a microphone and a cue card.

“By order of Adam Florés, this matchup has changed!â€￾ The official announced. Punk and Tomko looked around, confused.

“It has now become a Mixed Tag Team Match!â€￾ The official continued. “It will be CM Punk and Beth Phoenix against Tomko and Christy Hemme!â€￾

Right away, Beth Phoenix’s music began to play, and she came down to the ring.

“What an interesting decision this is!â€￾ London said. “Christy Hemme wanted to be in a fight so bad, so Adam put her in one!â€￾

“I’m not sure I like Beth Phoenix too much.â€￾ Miz appraised. “I mean, she’s got it all in the chest area, but she doesn’t seem like she’s willing to do all that much.â€￾

Paul London groaned.

Christy Hemme’s music began to play. She stepped out onto the top of the entrance ramp, turned back, and yelled at someone backstage. She then looked down the entrance ramp with some uncertainty and proceeded to walk down.

Mixed Tag Team Match
CM Punk and Beth Phoenix Vs. Tomko and Christy Hemme

The newfound allies looked at each other with confusion. While Tomko and Christy Hemme were fairly indifferent of each other, Beth Phoenix simply put a hand across CM Punk’s chest to keep him from entering the ring. She climbed in herself and yelled at Christy to come out. Tomko looked at Beth, shrugged, and motioned Christy to get in.

Christy climbed into the ring and slowly walked up to Beth. Beth just smiled and patted Christy’s cheek with one hand, talking down to her. Christy, annoyed, gave Beth a backhand slap. Christy continued this attack by giving Beth repeated elbow shots to the face. She then grabbed Beth and launched Beth at the ropes. Beth reversed it and sent Christy that way. Christy bounced off and was grabbed by Beth for a side slam.

Beth got to her feet, yanking Christy up with her. She launched Christy at the ropes again, and this time leveled Christy with a big boot.

Christy was already pretty much motionless. Beth towered above her for a few seconds, smiling, before grabbing her and yanking her up again. She got Christy in a front facelock, hoisted her up in a delayed fisherman suplex, and slammed Christy to the ground.

Christy landed very close to Tomko’s corner though, and before Beth could make the pin, Tomko reached down and managed to tag Christy’s foot.

The Ref had to fight Beth to keep her from attacking Tomko, who just looked at her with a bemused look on his face. Finally the Ref managed to get Beth back to her corner, and Tomko entered the ring. Christy was out cold, so Tomko just rolled her to the side with one foot. CM Punk entered the ring, partly just to get away from Beth Phoenix, and looked back at her. She just glared at him and motioned with one hand to get on with it.

Punk turned around in time to see Tomko take him down with an uppercut. Punk backed away, reaching the ropes, and pushed himself to his feet. Tomko advanced, and Punk raised his feet to kick Tomko in the gut. Punk took this opportunity to run forward, grab Tomko, and began delivering knee strikes to Tomko’s gut. Punk then performed an Irish whip to launch Tomko into the corner.

Punk charged for Tomko to perform a knee strike, but Tomko strafed out of the way. Punk ended up effectively landing on top of the turnbuckle, his kneestriking leg sailing over the turnbuckle to slam against the steep ringpost behind it, while he took the force of the turnbuckle itself to his inner thigh.

Tomko walked forward, grabbed Punk, and threw him off the turnbuckle onto the mat. Punk landed on his back and rolled for a bit before stopping.

Punk used the ropes to pull himself to his feet and stumbled over to face Tomko. Tomko delivered a right hand to Punk, knocking him back against the ropes. Punk bounced off, effectively standing in the process, and Tomko knocked him back again with another right hand.

Punk bounced off again, and this time Tomko grabbed him in a two-handed choke. Tomko took a few steps back to make room and delivered a double-barrel chokeslam to Punk. Tomko went for the cover and made the three-count.

“Well that was different, if nothing else.â€￾ Paul London said. “Beth Phoenix had the match won for her team, but Tomko got a lucky tag and won the match.â€￾

“See how quickly Tomko put CM Punk away?â€￾ Miz asked happily. “Not like it was any surprise, Punk never could perform in the ring. I don’t know why he was even hired.â€￾

“Christy Hemme still hasn’t come to.â€￾ London said, changing the subject.

“Yep. It’s like she went through a night with me.â€￾ Miz replied.

---------------------------------

Adam and Lily-Ann sat on a couch in their office, watching what took place.

“Good thinking on Christy Hemme.â€￾ Lily-Ann said approvingly.

“I do what I can.â€￾ Adam replied.

Suddenly, Christian Cage limped in on crutches. “You know how many stairs you have in this place??â€￾ He demanded.

“There are no stairs in the hospital, why aren’t you there?â€￾ Adam asked. “Jackie Moore broke out of there too, they need tighter security.

“Yeah, yeah, cute.â€￾ Christian said. “Let me tell you something, I won that Inferno match. I stepped up when nobody else would. Christian Cage, the Instant Classic, became the Instant Champion. So what does Kane do? He picks me up and he sets me on fire even though he lost!â€￾

“Yeah, he’s fun like that. You should see him in a restaurant where they flambé stuff in front of him.â€￾ Adam replied.

Lily-Ann, standing behind Adam, just smacked him. “So what do you want us to do about it?â€￾ She asked.

“I want Kane to suffer.â€￾ Christian said. “I want him in a match against… against…â€￾

“Pretty sure anyone we put in the ring with Kane is going to be the one that suffers.â€￾ Adam said.

“And what the hell is with this choosing the Number One Contender when I’m not even here to defend myself??â€￾ Christian demanded, changing the subject. “I’m not even around and you’re already setting me up for a match? I’m World Champion, I should get a say in what goes on with MY Championship!â€￾

“Okay, how about this.â€￾ Lily-Ann said. “When you defend your title next week against either Kurt Angle or Mr. Kennedy, you get to choose the match stipulations.â€￾

“…that’s a start.â€￾ Christian said, and limped out.

Almost immediately, a loud crash sounded out, followed by Christian screaming in pain.

“DAMN IT!!â€￾ He yelled in anger, apparently at Roxxi Laveaux, who just entered the office.

“Oh you’re fine, just walk it off.â€￾ Adam called out.

“I can’t WALK IT OFF, they’re my-â€￾ Christian began, but was cut off as Roxxi closed the door behind her.

“Always happy when someone does that.â€￾ Adam said.

“Can we help you?â€￾ Lily-Ann asked.

Roxxi calmly held up the worms she found earlier. “Who left these?â€￾ She asked in a statement tone.

“Uh… my guess would be the Boogeyman.â€￾ Adam said. “Why-â€￾

But Roxxi simply turned around, opened the door, and walked out, apparently having obtained all the information she came for. A second later, Christian yelled again. “Oh no, don’t help me, I’m just FINE LAYING RIGHT HERE!!â€￾

Adam grabbed a broom from beside the couch and nudged the door closed.

“Didn’t we hire anyone normal?â€￾ Lily-Ann asked.

---------------------------------

“Well Christian Cage is already throwing a hissy-fit back there.â€￾ Paul London said. “What did he expect, the FFW to grind to a halt until he got better?â€￾

“You know, if Roxxi Laveaux washed her face a bit, got some shampoo that smelled like Lilacs or something, I think she has potential to be quite a hottie.â€￾ Miz replied, as if this was the topic at hand.

London stared at Miz for a moment, who just shrugged and grinned.

“…anyway, we’ve got a Number One Contender’s Match coming up between Kurt Angle and Mr. Kennedy. Miz, who do you like in this matchup?â€￾ London asked.

“I’m straight!â€￾ Miz quickly replied. “I don’t know about YOU, going in there and bouncing around, doing your little ballerina moves, but I-â€￾

“KENNEDY!!â€￾

Somewhat to the delight of Paul London, Mr. Kennedy’s theme cut Miz off, and Kennedy made his way to the ring. He entered the ring and charismatically reached up, catching the microphone.

“Ladies and gentlemen, this next contest is to PROVE to you all that I am the rightful NUMBER ONE CONTENDER…â€￾ Kennedy began. “I weigh in tonight at TWO HUNDRED FORTY SEVEN POUNDS… I hail from GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN… and my name… is… MMMMISTAAAAARRR KENNEDAAAAYYYY…â€￾

Kennedy walked to the corner and climbed into the second turnbuckle. He waited there for a full ten seconds before finishing. “…KENNEDAAAAYYYY…â€￾

With that, Kennedy let go of the microphone and got back into the ring.

Kurt Angle’s music then began to play. After his theatrics, he came down and entered the ring, Karen waiting at ringside.

Main Event: Number One Contenders Match
Mr. Kennedy Vs. Kurt Angle

Kennedy simply charged out of his corner and viciously attacked Angle with rights and lefts, quickly forcing Angle back into his corner. Kennedy continued his assault, only breaking when the Ref’s count reached 4. Still, he stayed on Angle, patting his cheek with one hand and taunting him.

Angle took the opportunity to get a right hand in on Kennedy, knocking him away. Angle rushed forward and delivered a European uppercut to Kennedy, knocking him away further. Angle grabbed Kennedy’s arm and launched him at the opposite ropes. Kennedy bounced off and attempted a running knee lift, which Angle ducked under. Kennedy bounced off the ropes and ran into a double leg takedown from Angle.

Wasting no time, Angle rolled Kennedy onto his stomach, grabbed his ankle, and stood up to secure the Ankle Lock. Kennedy writhed in pain, trying and failing to shake his leg from Angle’s grip.

Finally Kennedy managed to make it to the bottom rope, and Angle was forced to release him. Angle stomped on Kennedy a few times for good measure, and proceeded to climb the nearby turnbuckle, where Karen happily watched. He made it to the top and leapt off for a moonsault, which Kennedy rolled out of the way from. Angle slammed into the mat and screamed in pain.

Kennedy got to his feet, still limping, as Angle pushed himself to the corner. Kennedy smiled and rubbed the sole of his boot across Angle’s face, smirking at it. After a few seconds of this he ran to the opposite ropes, bounced off, and attempted a low dropkick. Angle rolled out of the way, and Kennedy ended up sailing through the bottom ropes to connect with Karen’s legs. Karen was knocked off the ring, hit her head on the edge, and fell to the ground.

Angle ran to the corner to check on Karen, who was rolling on the ground clutching her face in pain. Kennedy, who had quickly gotten to his feet, grabbed Angle’s shoulder and spun him around. He kicked Angle in the gut, applied a front facelock, and hit Angle with a snap DDT. He went for the cover and Angle kicked out at two.

Kennedy quickly got to his feet, but was punched in the gut by Angle before he could do anything. Angle punched Kennedy again before getting to his feet. Angle grabbed Kennedy’s arm and launched him for the opposite ropes. Kennedy bounced off and ran into a high elbow from Angle. Kennedy spun around from the impact and stumbled away, holding his nose. Angle rushed forward, grabbed Kennedy around the waist, and hit him with a German suplex. Angle rolled to the side, stood up, and hit Kennedy with another German suplex. Again Angle rolled to the side, and this time hit Kennedy with a Release German suplex. Kennedy hit the ground upper-back first, and almost looked like he was going to rise up and slam down on his stomach, but ended up simply falling like a domino onto his back.

Angle slowly got to his feet and grabbed Kennedy’s ankle again, but Kennedy retracted his legs and kicked Angle’s chest before he could use the Ankle Lock. Angle hit the mat on his back and Kennedy slowly got to his feet. Angle stood up, and Kennedy kicked him in the gut. Kennedy crouched down and hoisted Angle up into a fireman’s carry, but Angle slipped out and landed behind Kennedy. Angle quickly grabbed Kennedy and went for the Olympic Slam. Kennedy managed to break Angle’s grip and simply drop to his feet behind Angle.

Angle spun around, and Kennedy kicked him in the gut again. This time Kennedy grabbed Angle in a front facelock, lifted Angle up, and hit him with a spike DDT. Kennedy went for the cover and made the three-count.

“WOW, what a match!â€￾ Paul London exclaimed. “One reversal after another! If we could get a replay… here we go, Kurt Angle first countered Mr. Kennedy’s rolling slam thing, then Kennedy countered the Olympic Slam. Only on this third shot was Kennedy able to hit the spike DDT on Angle… Green Bay Plunge, I believe it’s called. Kennedy’s rolling slam?â€￾

“That really was something.â€￾ Miz replied. “Fighting over who’s on top, I know how that goes.â€￾

“Would you please??â€￾ London demanded. “Hey wait a minute, it doesn’t look like Karen Angle is doing too well…â€￾

Karen had to be helped to her feet by two officials. She was still holding her face with both hands.

“And the winner of the match, and YOUR Number One Contender…â€￾ Mr. Kennedy suddenly yelled out. “…MMMISTAAAARRR… KENNEDAAAYYY…â€￾

He waited a moment. “…KENNEDAAAYYY…â€￾

“Well what was she doing standing on the ring anyway? Get out of the ring if you don’t want to get hurt.â€￾ Miz said.

London shrugged. “Well ladies and gentlemen, next week Christian Cage will be defending his title against Mr. Kennedy, and hopefully we’ll have a better commentator than Miz here.â€￾

“Yeah, sure.â€￾ Miz replied, crossing his arms and looking away.

Nancy's Review

Women's Match
Once again, I found this a fairly odd way to open the show, but then again it seems like you've got a good match hierarchy happening here, which unfortunately a lot of shows lack. This was a pretty basic women's match, including the neckscissors. I was surprised that Christy took to the top turnbuckle, as a lot of women in wrestling wouldn't even think of that, but I was disappointed to a title change so soon, and not in a better match.

Singles Match
This was a nice, little good match, and supplied some tongue-in-cheek humour when Jeff just couldn't seem to take Ray out of the ring. But then there was a moment where it felt a bit rushed as Hardy hit the WITW, and then the Swanton. Still it was entertaining.

Mixed Tag Team Match
I did actually have high hopes for this match, and did deliver with Beth destroying Hemme (Geez, she had a bad night), and the blind tag from Tomko. But then all of a sudden you ended it prematurely when Tomko just squashed Punk for a second. All in all, I was let down.

No. 1 Contender Match
Definitely the MOTN by far, maybe even MOTW. I can't criticize this at all. A great match.

Hehe. Well I really don't like having overly long matches where a guy will take a steel chair to the grapes and just recover ten seconds later, ready to wrestle for another 20 minutes. Punk got really unlucky with that missed knee lift, and wasn't able to do much afterwards. Thanks though, I do try to change how I write based on the comments I receive. ^_^
