This thread is more about the discussion of 2k choosing Roman & Becky as the cover stars and not about the actual gameplay itself.

I really think the concept of the trailer is cool with all the legends at the party. I like how they have pictures of guys like Guerrero and Savage to hint they will be apart of the game. Good stuff.

Do u think its smart marketing for WWE to have a woman talent as the focus of their game? Do you think they also put Roman in for that reason?

Does it really matter who is on the cover?

I mean if the game is buggy, glitchy mess
then whoever is on the cover will just end
up looking like a moron anyway.

Also...if this game doesn't sell as many or
more copies than the last I'm sure Becky
appearing on the cover will be one of the
main excuses given for that.

Also...this is once again has the WWE trying
to make Roman a star with him standing next
to someone who is actually likeable with actual
charisma.

Frankly EA & their entire 2K series is nothing
but exploitative trash that the fans HAVE to
buy because there are no other options for
them.

Thankfully I don't play video games...and if
I did want to play a wrestling game...I'd buy
a Nintento 64 & a copy of No Mercy.

I have To say 2k have an absolutely fantastic marketing team. Every year they smash it out the park with a great ad campaign

Hey I can think of one thing Becky has over Roman...

She was able to wrestle & win a Wrestlemania main event
without the bulk of the audience shitting all over the match.

That's cuz they were too busy sleeping. At least Roman was part of a wrestlemania main event that was actually spectacular and fulfilling. So both of them have things going for them.

Brock vs Roman was genuinely a fantastic match before seth got involved. The crowd reaction was off the charts. Seth cashing in heightened the drama and make it an incredible match.

As for the main event this year. It was just unfortunate

Being on the cover for the video game isnt the most important thing but its still a pretty big nod to whoever gets it, because only the top talent are considered. I would say that it would be an honor for any superstar to have the opportunity to join the 2k cover star club, and im sure there is even a decent finacial gain to it that they receive.

Its at the end of the video. Im surprised that New day didnt get the cover. Kofi being champ and then also Xavier woods has more ties to the video game world than any other wwe superstar with UpUpDownDown

She was able to wrestle & win a Wrestlemania main event

Roman is 2-2 in Wrestlemania main events. And Becky vs Ronda vs Charlotte had one of the flattest finishes of any Wrestlemania event of all time. No one thought it was a good finish and it got zero reaction from the crowd. Reigns at least always got big crowd reactions.

Wrestlemania 34 and 32 the crowd were not interested in the main even at all. Not one bit. Completely got the wrong reaction they were looking for.

But they still had great spots for the finish. Wrestlemania 32 is when Stephenie took that spear and Wrestlemania 34 is when Brock went over (which was a pretty big swerve). Both those moments got more of a reaction than Becky doing a roll up while Rondas shoulder were up and got a 3 count. It was completely botched and it confused the crowd.

Very true. Its save to say Roman has had a couple of shockers in the main event. But then again hes a four main events. So we really are comparing apples and oranges

The last match for Wrestlemania is kind of hard to judge by reactions because the show is so long. But Wrestlemania is more about "moments" than it is matches. The women in the triple threat botched their moment. I believe its karma anyway because Charlottle should of gone over.

I would rather rewatch that match then brock vs Roman at 33 and triple h vs Roman at 32 that's for sure. The womens triple threat was a good match with a terrible ending. Very unfortunate for them.

Literally no hype or proper fan engagement for both the main events of 33 and 32
