This could be good practice for Triple H. Not sure if NXT will actually go live, but this would be profitable for him to run a brand competitively on television.

Yes and all the WWE fanboys who have said NXT is overrated will suddenly love the show simply because it's facing AEW.

Yeah...pretty much.

I mean me personally...I'll continue to watch NXT & AEW
(1 week late of course) & give my honest opinions about
both.

I'm not touching the WWE main roster with a fifty foot pole...
not unless a Charlotte/Lacey lesbian storyline starts.

?

God, not another "War" thread/story. If it happens then fine, and if it doesn't then fine. Who honestly cares?

Think WWE knows counterprogramming AEW is great advertising for them? It got people amped for an Evolve show lol

Reminds me of the 2015 Wednesday Night War though. Impact, ROH, Lucha Underground and NXT. It was just cool and nothing "significant"

I don't think it is significant in any way, actually. If they start an NXT/AEW war, the only people who will be turning into NXT for the first time are people who already watch WWE. And the people who currently watch NXT will keep watching it on the Network.

Now, if WWE decides to stop airing NXT every Wednesday on the Network, I think that will hurt them ,uch more than hurting AEW.

I mean at the end of the day the fans will watch what they want to watch...
no matter when its on. Technology these days allows you to literally watch
everything.

It will never be like the RAW/Nitro war again simply because of streaming
services & DVR technology.

Exactly. During the Monday Night War, you had to use your VCR to record the other show and although that isn't difficult to do, it wasn't something many people did.

Even so, AEW is taking the high road by avoiding direct competition. I recall during the Monday Night Wars, that was Mcahon's biggest problem. He complained over and over again about splitting the audience.

So, we get AEW. They hold PPVS on Saturday and are looking to put a show on that directly does not conflict with any WWE programming. So what do we get, we get Vince deciding to try and put something opposite them to hurt their ratings.

Nothing in this world I hate more than a hypocrite. This is like when TNA tried to use the Attitude Era philosophy to compete with WWE and Vince called it "tawdry." In Vince's mind, it is always right if he does it and always wrong if anyone else does.

Why can't I give this post 1,000 Appalauses? It deserves it.

The coolest thing was in Australia the Pay TV service we had aired RAW on Tuesday night
& Nitro Friday night...so I got to watch both shows & both sides of the War...although I never
saw Smackdown or Thunder.

Its because the AEW has a "fresh, new, exciting" vibe to it & its scaring the WWE because
I think they all know how tired & old their shows look. If the WWE were smart they would do
a full on, comic book company style reboot. Change everything up (besides the Champions
of course) & do something truly new & different.
