Hello. Thanks for checking in, much appreciated. Let me explain

So the title is exactly my question. Should Steroids continue to be banned in WWE ?. Before i get into it. I wanna say that I have personally never touched steroids, or know anyone personal to me who have taken steroids. I've just been watching a shit ton of documentaries on it and writing essays for my college on the side affects and so on. I know this is gonna be an unpopular answer. But my honest answer is YES, Steroids should be unbanned. Before you kill me in the comments let me explain.

If it was competitive sports like MMA, Baseball, Boxing, Football, Soccer, Hockey, swimming, running etc etc. Then yes absolutely. It's an unfair advantage in the competition, and on your opponent. But WWE is Entertainment, predetermined. Hell it considers it's self to be a tv show. In tv shows or movies.. You want your characters, or main character to look good. You want your character to unlock their full power. You want your characters to not look like the fans, or people in the street. You want your main character, or characters to look like they're important main characters, to feel like they're main characters. Body builders or gym freaks take steroids to be the best, to get to that next level of muscle growth. They'll do and step on anyone to look and feel the best. WWE is known to be the place to grab the brass ring. To do whatever you must to be the best. You have to have the "look" to be a main eventer in WWE. The look being a ripped power house pretty boy... *cough* Roman *cough* Now I'm not saying WWE should start handing out steroids to all their performers. But if you know the risks and side effects steroids can have on you physically and mentally, and you're happy to take that risk on your health and body. Then why shouldn't you be allowed to do what it takes tograb the brass ring and be a main event player ?. There's also a smart way you can take Steroids. Something about it being 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off.. Assuming you take something else for the 6 weeks off. But i'm not really sure.. You'll have to research it or ask Dwayne Johnson, Mark Wahlberg or any big hollywood actor who are suddenly become big and ripped in a short space of time. Also Steroids and Steroid abuse are 2 different things.

Also no Benoit shit. Cause that wasn't the cause of steroids.. Steroids, or roid rage doesn't do that. Roid rage only works if it's steroid abuse. Or if you've already got a short temper and you're an asshole. Although the pee pee thing is absolutely spot on

Anyway let me know what you guys think. Should or shouldn't it be continued to be banned.. Your reason will also be welcomed

Yes, of course it should be banned.. Everything should be banned except maybe marijuana. Keep the business as clean as possible.

You pretty much explained in your post why they should continue to be banned. Wrestling gets a bad wrap as it is, they can't allow steroids or the media would rip them apart.

I’m not a fan of being dependent on anything but yourself for your success, so my answer would be yes they should be banned. However, there’s always loopholes around anything, so people will find a way to juice in nearly any sport.

I think WWE want to stay far away from the bad press of steroid abuse. I know loads of people who take steroids, and I just find it super freaky lol. Plus if the premise of WWE is that its a fictional sport, why not get rid of performance enhancing drugs. Real athletes don't take steroids. Even tho it seems like everyone uses them

Real athletes do take drugs but. They just get away with it because they're either a big name/draw. Or important part of the team.

The fact is it’s not necessary for entertaining matches.

You can tell the guys that do them, and the guys that don’t almost instantly.

Some of the ones that don’t use are the best in ring performers. Cesaro, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, KO, Sami Zayne, Samoa Joe.

All very strong guys, and all very athletic without the Vince McMahon preferred muscle bound meathead look.

And they will probably live past their late 40’s thanks to their decision not to juice.

Yes, it should definitely be banned... even though wrestling is more entertainment than "real" sports, steroids are still harmful. You don't want the wrestlers to feel pressured into having to look a certain way to be a wrestler for just aesthetic. Talent is what should matter, not looks.
