Nia Jax leaving WWE?

so there have been talks about Nia not being happy about creative and her overall direction in the company. Especially after proposing that she wanted to get her ass kicked by Asuka instead of Emma. Meltzer also recently stated that more people might wanna leave the company soon, so that makes me believe we're not getting worked here (or this entire Neville/Nia/other people leaving thing leads to a huge riot storyline which I highly doubt).

It's just funny that out of all people, Nia Jax is the one who's upset over her booking. They make her look dominant every week she's booked and when she loses, it's after a good performance by both sides. She's been on the main roster for a little bit over a year now, what did she expect? The reason why they probably didn't wanna do Asuka vs Nia in the first place, was to protect Jax from losing clean lol. I think she just needs something called "patience" especially in a business like this.

Besides, I don't even think she'd stay in the wrestling business if she wasn't with WWE anymore. Would probably turn into a plus-sized model or something. So this might just have to do with her lack of passion for the sport.

But what do you think? Do you think this is real? Would you care? Who even is Nia Jax?

Nia Jax was basically ruined at Survivor Series last year when she
tapped out to Becky Lynch in the 5 on 5 elimination match.

She was already struggling with her ugly ring attire and generic
pop theme music...and frankly...she was elevated to main roster
too early...and unlike Alexa & Carmella...she doesn't have the mic
skills or the "visual appeal" (I personally think Nia is stunning when
not in her ring attire but not everyone shares me opinion) to fall
back on.

The fact of the matter is the women's roster is too small to effectively
book a "Monster Heel" when its divided over 2 brands.

They "claim" that Nia wasn't like most girls...but she was basically
booked like everybody else...and for every time she looked dominant...
she was tapping out to Sasha Banks (or Becky that one time) or getting
pinned by Bayley. They also kept her away from Charlotte for a long
time and I believe Nia only defeated Charlotte because of the Superstar
shake up...and that didn't do anything to elevate her at all...it just made
her look dangerous because of all the botches in that match.

Then the WWE creative basically swap out Charlotte for Alexa and book
the division the exact same way...protecting their new "Blonde Chosen One"
while Nia plays second fiddle again.

Seriously...they even had Alexa drop the title to Sasha only to win it back
2 weeks later.

Then Nia turns on Alexa...Okay...that works...and makes sense. If Nia wants
the title...have her be like Braun Strowman and destroy anyone and everyone
in her path until she gets what she wants.

I personally didn't want to see an Alexa/Nia feud because they are both average
workers in my opinion...but it appeared they were building towards that.

Have her run through the entire division (heels & faces) and claim the title so you
can build a "Clash of Titans" match between Nia & Asuka and if you really want to
have Nia be the one to end Asuka's streak...then just do it...as much as that would
piss me off.

But then...Nia is hanging around Alexa LIKE NOTHING EVER HAPPENED!
and Alexa is suddenly feuding with Mickie James?

WTF?!

Didn't Nia turn on Alexa? Doesn't Nia want the belt? Why are they acting like
a "team" again? Because of Total Divas? Give me an answer dammit!

Personally Nia was basically ruined from he start...and I somewhat understand
her annoyance at the "Bi-Polar Booking" she's been given recently...if that is her
real grievance.

The truth is Nia doesn't need to be wrestler and she kind of fell into it...and I'm
sure she could earn a living a "plus size" model...in fact I believe she was doing
that before she even tried out for the WWE.

Would you care?

Well...I'm torn on Nia...because I find her boring & awkward in the ring...but
she has amazing potential and I really enjoyed it when she was booked as
Eva Marie's bodyguard/enforcer in NXT. Those two made a stunning couple.

She should have been booked like Kharma/Awesome Kong was at the start
of her (failed) WWE run.

They should have had Nia just appear at the end of women's matches on RAW,
SmackDown, pay per views & even NXT and simply crush and destroy everyone
in her path.

She doesn't talk and she doesn't interfere in the matches themselves...she just
shows up (with dark, threatening music and wearing a better outfit...some kind
of plated armor?) and just ruins everyone.

She should have done this for months, scaring the entire women's division and
eventually she would have been revealed as Stephanie McMahon "special enforcer"
and signed to the RAW brand.

Stephanie keeps Nia away from Charlotte but has her squash some jobbers and
crush Sasha, Bayley, Alicia Fox & Dana Brooke. Then you could have gone 1 of
2 ways.

1). Turn Nia face by having her crush Stephanie and strike out on her own...
possibly feuding with Heel Charlotte for the title.

or

2). Turn Charlotte face with Stephanie deciding to replace Charlotte with Nia
as the alpha female (because of Sasha constantly defeating her). Charlotte
reunites with Sasha & Bayley only for Tamina to return and team up with Nia
forming some kind of "Sisters of Destruction" style double act.

And then...you bring Asuka in to take them down and draft Charlotte to SmackDown
for Little Miss Bliss who in turn snatches the title from everyone.

How does that sound for some long term booking and story telling?

I like Nia, I even think she's a Beautiful woman. I didnt know she was related to The Rock. That was cool to find out. And who can blame her if she did decide to quit WWE?

I don't even remember that, mostly because that match was pretty ass. But it shows that it wasn't much of a big deal, I mean a couple months after that she got to squash a multiple time womens champion in Sasha banks in like a couple minutes. I really don't think making her lose a couple times really hurt her. After all, in NXT she lost to both Asuka and even to Bayley via submission but still had a good kick out of her Raw squashes. So I think they did a fairly good job at keeping her from looking weak most of the time. When she got to fight for the womens title they mostly worked around it by having other people involved in it by taking the fall or working together against her, so there were still a lot of doors open for them to let her go over the champion clean.

There are arguments that could be made for them to book Nia vs Bliss now instead of Mickie vs Bliss but I don't think it has to do with how they treated Jax's character. It got good heel reactions, she got a good following out of it and I personally wouldn't have wanted them to repeat themselves with the Kharma-like story. It's always better to come up with something fresh and new rather than to repeat what they already did. Besides, Kharma looked way more frightening than Nia could ever look like. That would have just made Nia look like the "cheaper Kharma" and obviously they wouldn't want that.
Also, and I think we talked about this before, having both Braun and Nia run through the whole roster seems kind of repetitive so I'm guessing that's why they didn't go full on squash machine with her.

All in all, I'm not much of a Nia fan or believer, I think she's actually a pretty annoying person outside of the ring but the character worked pretty well as a mixture of monster and beauty imo. It's also a magnet for women empowerment and stuff so there's that. Didn't seem like they misused her at all and if she'd stick around for a couple more months, she's easily become womens champion one day or another. It's just a matter of time to me

immediately flushed down the toilet when Sasha pinned Nia clean
and easily at Fastlane.

Very true...but the WWE could have done a better job with making
Nia frightening and scary...if not in appearance...then at least by her
actions.

I remember all those RAW squash matches and think...

"What a waste of time"

Why didn't they have Nia flat out torture those jobbers...like stand on
their heads until they started screaming and crying.

Nia still lost clean making her Royal Rumble match win invalid
or completely pointless.

Nia Jax needs to know her place on the roster. Same as Neville. Not everyone gets their way and pushed how they want. I'm sure 95% of the roster would be preferred to be pushed harder cuz only about 5% of the roster can be either champions or top guys/girls. Everyone needs to chill out and know there fucking place in the show, not everyone gets to play lead roles

I tend to agree with you, but in this case not... Nia is entitled and ungrateful, her booking has been alright and a lot better than most of the women in WWE.

This. Honestly I don’t usually post on threads like this anymore, because of this reason above: not every superstar is John Cena. That’s not to say that maybe Nia doesn’t have a point with some of her complaints, as I’m sure many others may have valid complaints as well. But, not everyone can be on top, and who knows, perhaps Alexa is getting better merch sales, ticket sales, and better reactions overall. Maybe nia has a bad attitude backstage, or she’s somehow proved she’s a little unreliable. Who the fuck really knows?
