More like they don't want to give Vince the rights to it. Which is smart. These two are both young and probably not so sure that WWE will work out for them. So if they get cut/decide to leave, they can go back to being TMDK.

Plus their friends back in Australia who still wrestle under the TMDK banner

For a company that makes such a big deal about its production values (even, maybe especially, the ones in NXT), that video quality seemed.....odd.

Or do they do a lot of these Youtube, Snapchat, Instagram (I really have no idea what I'm talking about past Youtube....because I'm old) low-quality videos of backstage segments and I've just (luckily, in my opinion) missed them?

It was. It's originally a video from WWE's Periscope account, an app on smartphones for livestreaming. It was then transfered to youtube.
