"The best thing that could have happened to the Divas Championship bout pitting Charlotte against Brie Bella at WWE Fastlane was the retirement of Daniel Bryan.

At first, that may sound harsh, but in reality, it did more to put heat on that program than anything WWE Creative has managed to do to this point.

It was not all that long ago when Brie Bella was lost in the shuffle. July's Divas Revolution not only passed her by, but she was eclipsed by the shadow of her sister Nikki. Alongside Alicia Fox, she was a glorified enhancement talent, someone with name value who was booked to lose to everyone from Natalya to Becky Lynch.

Worse yet, she was a scripted heel, despite the fact that her best in-ring work always came as a babyface.

Brie's sudden involvement in the Divas Championship picture via a non-title win over Divas champion Charlotte on the Feb. 1 episode of Monday Night Raw catapulted her back into contention, but the sad, unfortunate and premature retirement of her husband, Bryan, has afforded her crowd sympathy that simply did not exist previously.

I could see them maybe giving Brie a Divas title run from this. Then I could see her having a few month reign and dropping the belt and retiring to have children with DB.

They're not going to give her a title run. She's just a filler opponent for Charlotte at Fastlane, m8.

For Fastlane yes, but I feel like theres going to be a big match for the Divas at Wrestlemania. Maybe a fatal 4 with Charlotte vs Beck vs Sasha vs Brie (maybe even a 6 person w/ Naomi and Tamina) and thats where I could see Brie getting the title. A nice little Wrestlemania moment, Daniel Bryan coming out to congratulate, tears of joy, etc...

The scheduled Divas title match for mania is Charlotte vs Becky vs Sasha.

Brie is most likely not working mania at all

Yeah, in the short-term but as Rey Mysterio has shown, a sympathy push never gets you anywhere. It's only a matter of time before she's back to being in the lower layers of the divas division.

Yeah, this is gonna result in Brie having a longer reign than her sister, idk why WWE still thinks the Bellas having half a year long reigns is best for buisness.

What does politicing have to do with this? I mean I'm sure she has some favorability because of her relationship with John Cena, but I highly doubt that her entire reign was focued on that.

People like to paint people as guilt by association. Just because they are in with the top player, doesn't mean you're 100% safe from the offices. Look at Beefcake, 1-2-3 Kid, hell even Titus O'Neil. They all had a really close relationship with the/one of the biggest stars in the WWE, and it mean't jackshit. Beefcake was nothing more than "that guy" in WWF and WCW. 1-2-3 Kid was fired like 50 times. Titus O'Neil was basically hired by Batista, and he got suspended for two months because he grabbed his boss - the same boss that allowed his employee to bite his butt cheeks.

Politics definitely have a lot to do with it. Nikkis relationship with Cena is waaaay different than Titus, X pac, etc. Nikki and John Cena are WWE's next power couple under HHH and Steph. Nikkis mom is witb Johnny Ace. Nikki definitely has a large political pull backstage. She definitely doesn't call the shots. But she certainly has the upper power behind her. Same with goes with Charlotte. She would never be Divas champ if it wasnt for Flair.

To each, his own.

Sounds incredibly ludicrous, but if that's what you believe...
