The main event of Fastlane allows WWE to take its championship storyline down multiple avenues for WrestleMania, but in all eventuality, the company will go with Roman Reigns as the victor here.
That alone creates multiple questions the company must answer, though. For example, how will Brock Lesnar lose? The indestructible force has to be defeated somehow, and that will likely happen with WWE setting up Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt.
It has been mysteriously quiet on that front lately, but most of Wyatt's feuds start randomly and with little prompting.
That would be one way to get Lesnar out of Reigns' way, but another key booking decision involves Dean Ambrose.
Don't forget that he's got a championship of his own, which will likely be defended at WrestleMania. What the company has to ensure it does here is move The Lunatic Fringe out of Reigns' shadow once and for all.
It may have escaped the attention of some on Raw given the news of Daniel Bryan's retirement, but Reigns effectively made a save for Ambrose again, with Lesnar being distracted enough for Ambrose to hit Lesnar from behind.
That needs to stop. Ambrose is a genuine star who can become even bigger in the months to come. The brotherhood has to end here.
The United States Championship match between Kalisto and Alberto Del Rio offers WWE somewhat of a dilemma in regards to its plans for WrestleMania.
Will Kalisto finally emerge from this feud with the title around his waist, allowing him to challenge someone else at WrestleMania? Or will WWE keep it going for one more pay-per-view, perhaps allowing Kalisto to get the belt back at WrestleMania?
In truth, the best decision here is for something fresh. Sure, it leaves the company with little time to plan a rivalry for one of its biggest championships, but this feud has overrun already.
The smartest booking decision here is to let Kalisto win cleanly against Del Rio, allowing him to break away from a feud that, at the moment, seems to be doing nothing for him.
In a similar vein to Charlotte vs. Brie Bella, this bout is going to have little outcome on what happens at WrestleMania 32 with the Divas division.
Both Sasha and Becky will likely advance to the biggest pay-per-view of the year to face Charlotte, which again makes both the latter stages and events after this match more interesting than the actual contest itself.
Who turns on who, if anyone does? Does WWE stick to its guns and have Lynch roll along as the clean babyface, or does it take a risk and maybe try to push Banks as the Divas division's big babyface by having Becky turn on her?
There's a chance they could win the match clean and leave Fastlane as an amicable tag team, but you would really like to see WWE roll the dice in a pay-per-view and inflict a split.
That's the best booking angle the company can take here, as it would create three legitimate stars at the head of the division just in time for WrestleMania.
Expect little drama in the Divas Championship match between Charlotte and Brie Bella.
Sure, Brie deserves an opportunity at the title after pinning Charlotte in a non-title match recently on Raw, but all eyes for the division are on WrestleMania 32 and a likely bout between Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks.
What's going to be interesting for WWE is how it approaches Charlotte's victory. Will she turn on Ric Flair post-match to only intensity her heel heat further? Or will they stay together for WrestleMania so Charlotte has a big name in her corner?
Charlotte will retain with ease, you expect, but it's what happens afterwards that will be most intriguing. Perhaps it's time for Ric to step out of the limelight and let Charlotte do her thing as champion.
TLDR : Brie vs Charlotte, Sasha vs Becky, Calisto vs Del Rio, Possible Heel Turn : Ambrose
