Are TNA owned by a broadcasting company and part of a sports package (that's how RO got on NESN)?If they can get a deal with a station like NESN, it would be an upgrade
The one thing that could secure TNA staying on TV is being sold to a broadcaster willing to keep them on as a stripped down, cheap programming. But there are a few roadblocks on that. Particularly the Carter family. Dixie is a moron it seems and thinks she can run a wrestling company and has daddy Bob paying for it, and he is only willing to sell if Dixie is kept on in charge, which will just mean it'll be same old same old
For TNA to survive, they need to burn it to the ground and start from the bottom, because the brand itself is damaged.
WGN > DA overall since DA only airs in America since it's redneck TV. So they won't get on it then. How is a show that cannot get advertisers on a redneck channel because it is considered too low brow supposed to get on WGN?
Because nobody wants to advertise on Discovery America. WGN is available on basic packages
Obviously the post you made is sadly true, as much as I want to dispute it the death of TNA is the second most beloved thing among wrestling fans by a huge margin... probably first now due to the Cena Open Challenge warming people up to him
TNA having trouble drawing advertisers isn't something that started on DA. They've always had this problem. Advertisers on Spike came and went on a revolving door policy. Not so surprising since this is the same company that named themselves TNA so they could steal a few extra buys in the weekly PPV days from people thinking they were buying porn
You asked about what makes WGN better, and I answered.
In general: I blame Destination America more for that, since that's why TNA had so much trouble getting a TV deal last time. Wrestling fans are cheap and have a stigma that we're not the type you want to associate yourself with, plus it's overpriced due to the budget, so... again, what did they expect?
Wonder if wrestling in general may have that problem, since it's a show that people can easily DVR and catch online yet tries to operate like a live show... weird, lol.

I couldn't agree more. As I've mentioned many times, I used to be a diehard TNA fan. Up until the introduction of Hogan and Bischoff, I was fanatical about it.
Dixie pretty much pushed Jarrett to the side and gave power to a man so delusional that he STILL thinks wrestling never existed before he did. Then, once the Hogan experiment failed, she decided she could do everything herself.
She has absolutely no instincts to be a wrestling promoter. I can't believe that her parents are going to allow TNA to keep doing this.... losing TV deals and frantically searching for another.
TNA'S early loyal fanbase is long gone. Their idiotic storylines, like Clair Lynch have sullied any credibility they have. And worst of all, despite pulling in strong cable ratings, two networks have dumped them within a year. That speaks to the lack of decent product and makes it unliklier that other networks will take a chance.
Although I disagree with those who feel TNA has always sucked, it definitely has sucked for a LONG time now. They have too much baggage that Jerry Springer likely wouldn't have them on his show. I think this time is the beginning of the end.
Reporting that a show is getting cancelled is defamation? Even if it turns out to be false, it has to cause actual damage in order to legally be defamation.
This statement was so defensive that it leads me to believe the rumors are correct. If they had no truth to them, TNA would have been liklier to issue a simple statement saying that there is no truth to them. This threat of legal action coming before an attempt to brush off the rumors and solidifying their relationship with Destination America really just confirms the rumor.

I could definitely see the Carters not caring at all about TNA. They just bought it so Dixie can play promoter, really don't think they care about profit there.
I've always got the impression they were never as interested in it as Dixie was. For the first few years after they bought, they incorporated it as a limited liability company. But I know during the Hogan years, Mommy took over the purse strings and severely limited what Dixie could do financially. I could see them getting tired of it eventually.
