Ibushi is out of the G1

[NJPW News] It has been announced that Kota Ibushi will be unable to compete in this years G1 CLIMAX following the concussion he suffered on July 4th.

No abnormalities were found by after multiple test results but apparent damage has been done to his head which is causing him to have shakes. For the safety of himself as well as anyone whom he would have been facing in the G1 the medical commission has deemed him unable to compete.

New Japan apologizes for the fans who were looking forward to seeing Ibushi compete in the G1.

A replacement for Kota Ibushi’s spot in the G1 should be expected.

Second to Ishii as best underdog babyface imo, though I can't say I'm not disappointed we aren't seeing Shibata/Ibushi. Shibata/Honma the first time was great, though.

Finished watching night/day 1 a couple of hours ago. Nothing reaches MOTY levels on the card, but everything was really solid and the main event was awesome. Looking forward for night 2.
