No. Biggest Draw among the 3 other main eventers. He never drew as much as Punk. As shown in the graph. Punk drew the most. Orton just draws better than Cena.

lol Punk drew some pretty low-rated segments on Raw as champion and wasn't even booked in the main event for the bulk of his entire reign. Cena was still treated as the premier star in 2012.

And again, looking at one simple graph and ignoring all the different determining factors in why the company was drawing revenue is a pretty short-sighted point of view.

Does this count all merchandise sales too, not just at the shows? Because I have seen the literal RACKS of John Cena clothing that lines the walls of the kids sections in K-Mart. I was quite surprised. The t-shirts, the button up collared shirts, jeans even! Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect everywhere. It made me sick lol

If we look at 2009, Randy Orton was given a beautifully written storyline involving the entire McMahon family
If we look at 2010, Randy Orton was experiencing his first babyface run after an extremely successful build
If we look at 2013, Randy Orton was backed by a newly turned HHH and a better than ever version of Stephanie McMahon

Take into consideration that John Cena has never been given storyline with a great deal of intrigue
Most of Cena's storylines are dumbed down for children to understand

CM Punk doesn't require heavy writing in his storylines either. Most of his feuds were very basic and to the point.
In fact, during Punk's reign I can't recall him getting too personal with his opponent (in terms of insulting family)

Orton has always received 'adult' storylines, because he has trouble relating to children as effectively as the other two
It isn't wrong, just WWE doing their homework with the guy.

In other words, with Orton as champ he receives support both backstage and on camera the other two never received

Orton has been fucked over by the lilly livered suits left right and center

He was over as rover in 2009 and guess what? they fucked up making him look vunerable to Shane O Mac

He was looking like the next Austin in 2010, and guess what? they booked cena as the focus

it has always been about someone else, book the show around him, and you will get the best show going, at the end of the day

The champion is the main story that is featured and will be invested in. The main story (champion) determines whether that investment can make up for revenue and Cena can't.
Orton was an afterthought during his reign to DB and HHH and you know it.

I'm sure it was Orton drawing in viewers with him 2nd hour 20 minute matches and not DB/HHH/Steph who opened and closed every show for 8 months.

not the point lad

what if they would have pushed orton ahead of hhh and brtyan, the numbers on the graph would have grown even more. the numbers do not lie, give orton a bigger role, you make money, at the end of the day

ha ha, just admit it lads, you were wrong. Orton is as sound as a two dollar pound, and the best in the businessss, fuck the rest

I'll admit that you are about as exciting to discuss things with as a brick wall, at the end of the day.

Even if the champ was a draw, so many of these dropoffs with Cena are typical post-Wrestlemania declines. And so many of the upswings coincided with all the Rock returns.

There was rarely more excitement and intrigue in the product than early 2012 with the Once in a Lifetime match going on, meanwhile after that WM I really can't say anything else good about 2012 WWE so it's no wonder business fell apart. (Also the 3-hour exhaustion played a big role) So it's unfair to assign too much credit or blame onto Punk.

Wonder why business spiked "with Orton" in late 2010, though?

Also wonder if anyone can do a chart for who the featured guy was then? Like now, Cena may be the champ which can make us groan all we want, but it feels like the past 5 Raws have gone off the air with Roman Reigns standing above a pile of waylaid bodies and Cena just being a guy on the show
