The WWE's Japan office just announced that a major Japanese superstar would sign a WWE contract at the 7/12 show in Osaka.

It was already reported that Kenta Kobayashi would be signing his contract with WWE at the show, but this is the first time WWE itself has made a comment regarding the story.

It was announced today that Prince Devitt, after losing to Jimmy Havoc for Progress Wrestling today in London, England, that it was his final show in the United Kingdom and that he is headed to America.

If it's a BIG NAME then it most likely is Devitt. Not a knock on KENTA. But he wrestled for the Image Comics of puro whilst Devitt was one of the bigger names in the Marvel comics of puro. Both guys great, but Devitt is the bigger name.

If they're doing it in Japan especially, then it will be Kenta, I'd have thought. Yoshi Tatsu needs replacing.

Why not Devitt, who made his name in Japan and in the biggest company over there to boot?

KENTA might be "homegrown"/Japanese. But Devitt is a Japanese star and a bigger name than KENTA in Japan.

I'll have to look that up.
It's annoying that I can't make the Osaka date- I'm in Tokyo (seeing a house show) but leaving for the Philippinnes the day of the Osaka show.
