WHY!? It not like that never done it before!? WM10 Bret wrestler 2 matchest!
Because HHH is supposed to be a beast of a competitor so either he's gonna end up looking weak or if Bryan pulls it all of Orton and Batista do. Just seems a crappy way to do it to appease fans, seems a little anti climatic.

I don't see how HHH looks weak if Bryan beats him.

Bryan has pinned Orton and Cena clean in the last six months. They're the top guys in the promotion. If he can beat them, I don't see how HHH looks weak losing to him clean.

And the big story if Bryan goes into the triple threat and wins will be "Bryan's amazing toughness and resiliency", not "Batista and Orton look weak". Trust me, between Orton's and Bryan's selling ability, Batista (who is the weakest of the three on his own) will look strong. Orton will look strong because Bryan will make him look strong (I don't trust Batista's ability to sell one bit), and Bryan will look great because he'll win. I almost agree with the anti-climactic part, but you won't go wrong giving the fans what they want.

Considering the biggest rumor coming out of RR had Punk taking on HHH and Bryan somehow being inserted into the title picture (probably winning the title at EC), I actually think this isn't a bad "second option" to do what they wanted. If anything, it will get Bryan looking even better if he comes out of Mania with the title, having had to run the gauntlet of HHH, Orton, and Batista to do it, with the careers those three have had.

I dunno wk if Bryan beats HHH then Batista and Orton in one night to me it leaves them looking weaker. I know he is this ultimate underdog but all 3 in one night seems far fetched and to me makes them look weaker.

I just think its a bad idea him winning both matches if he beats HHH then got a title shot at ER that would work better for me as to me HHH damn near destroyed Taker two years back he is a beast. I dunno why wk I cant fully explain it just seems really off and a bad idea for me.

I agree to the extent that it makes the Triple H match seem a little like an afterthought, but the thing is, it's not like he is defeating Orton and Batista in separate one-on-one matches or in a handicap match. It's a triple threat match, so both Orton and Batista will be tearing into each other just as much as they will Bryan. During all of this, Bryan can find some way to seize an opportunity somewhere in there and pull off a pin fall or submission victory over one of them without anyone looking weak.

Chris Jericho defeated Steve Austin and The Rock in consecutive matches back at Vengeance 2001 to become the first ever undisputed champion, and I know he cheated both times, but still. He still went over the two biggest stars of that era in back-to-back matches without them looking any weaker for it.

Very true Lockard like I said my gut for some reason hates this outcome despite being a Bryan mark and it being a dream. I cant quote why its just not sitting right for me.

I'm sure it's just the idea that all three guys are huge stars and Bryan being in a mere singles match against any of them should be enough of a hard fought match, yet we're supposed to believe that he's capable of defeating all three in one night. It makes him seem a little too much like an invincible babyface and it might make you scratch your head every time Bryan loses a match cleanly to someone from here on out (like to Bray Wyatt at the Royal Rumble) because you'll be thinking "Wait, this guy once defeated Triple H, Batista and Randy Orton all in the same night, you're telling me he can't beat this guy just once?" This is especially true when you consider that Triple H has battled against the likes of Steve Austin, The Rock, Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, etc and took them to war. Orton and Batista have had their fair share of rough battles with many big stars as well.

Again though, I can accept it since wrestling is filled with a lot of little things like this that don't add up and also because Wrestlemania is supposed to be the ultimate place where the babyface is determined enough to win that he can overcome any odds and pull off the ultimate dream. Bryan has also proven to be quite resilient and have more stamina and endurance than anyone else. If you recall, Bryan went through The Real Americans and Ryback in a gauntlet match on Raw leading to Summerslam. And speaking of Summerslam, he was more than ready to take on Randy Orton just minutes after defeating John Cena for the WWE Championship as well.

Lockard has a pretty good point, how long can they keep Bryan on top and have him overcome the odds before he turns into what we all hate about Cena? He can't keep beating people 3-on-1 without it making us groan, and he can't lose his underdog persona by staying on top too long.

The way they set it up - with the way they made it feel like the fans that changed the Mania main event, both in and out of kayfabe - was nothing short of perfect. (The one complaint is that Triple H didn't add in an extra stip for himself, but whatever)

It's what you guys are talking about that makes me think that there has to be a friend for Bryan from somewhere, a guy that comes out from backstage (or even out of the crowd) and helps him.

What I keep imagining is that he'll go to war with HHH but win (due to his extreme resilience), then go on to the main event, where the match will go from Batista and Orton cooperating to beat him down to them tearing each other up to see who gets the pin to Bryan being a heartbeat away from winning. Then, out comes HHH/Kane/The Authority to stop him, but they're cut off by someone (Adrian Neville? Corey Graves? Sami Zayn? Doink the Clown? Okay...probably not Doink...) out of the crowd wearing a "Daniel Bryan" t-shirt, which stops them for long enough for Bryan to pin Orton to win the title.

This sets up Bryan/Batista at Extreme Rules (since Batista didn't actually "lose" the match because he wasn't pinned) while the Authority angle continues with a different focus on setting up HHH vs. ????? for the future.

But we've also got the report that Hogan was not cleared by WWE medical. Plus, I don't know...Hogan would just be so....obvious. You might as well have it be Cena...and the Bellas.

for in ring competition yeah. I don't think they have a problem with Hogan say smacking Batista over the skull from ringside if Batista has his head out the ropes.

Still seems too obvious. They've done obvious before, though. I'm just hoping for some sort of splash out of it.

I'd love for it to be Zayn or Neville, but I don't think their first WWE feud should be against the Authority.

Maybe it'll be one of the Shield.

Yeah it shouldn't be one of the nxt guys, that's pushing too hard too fast which can backfire very easily.

What if Triple H wins and inserts himself to the WWE WHC Title match so he can make this a possibility.
