I had to create a quick thread. The start of Raw thus far is great. Punk's music hitting and Heyman coming out an blaming the fan. Love it. Thoughts?

It was smart. Heyman knows how to control a crowd, and if anybody knows CM Punk's history with WWE, and been involved, it is Paul Heyman. He's also not afraid of heat or anything, so it worked great.

It was an interesting way to start the show.

Still processing and my brain is severely slowed down from the pain meds. I'm out.

In all honesty, I kind of miss his theme song.

Both of them that is. :downer:

Okay.

Raw started off strong. And, for what it's worth, I didn't really get the feeling Heyman was "shitting on the crowd".

I know. That means I'm stupid.:pity2:

But anyway, it was a great way to defuse the audience (for a while, at least) and put them into the "Road to Wrestlemania" mindset.

Heyman definitely did his job.

It was a genius decision. The crowd respects Heyman for everything he's done in wrestling and he's actually interesting to listen to. If Hunter had tried it it would have failed, but Heyman's a don.

I feel that Heyman coming out an blaming the people was brilliant. They acknowledged that Punk is gone and at least gave some sort of reason. Good start to the show.
