They're SO stupid if they take Clowney. Love the guy but it's Jake Long over Matt Ryan all over again. Long was a great LT but didn't help the Dolphins win games.
I really don't know what to think about clowney, a lot of people say he sucks but I've never really payed much attention to him.

Great pass rushers effect games a lot more than offensive lineman... lineman can only be as helpdful as the offense allows them to be. Pass rushers take over and change games. 2nd most important position after QB.

A lot of teams aren't sold on Bridgewater, assuming one of those teams is Houston and obviously Clowney is the pick. People like to remember all of the great top 5 Qbs but tend to forget how high the bust rate is. Drafting a QB doesn't mean shit if you aren't drafting the right guy. You like Bridgewater, I like Bridgewater, at least a handful of NFL teams do not.

Anyone saying he 'sucks' is clueless. If you don't double team Clowney he is destroying your offense, period. He is a defensive game changer.

I hope you guys are right and Houston goes QB and the Raiders can somehow get Clowney.

10 years from now if we aren't looking at him as the best player of the 2014 draft I'll be absolutely shocked. the man is a HOF-level talent. People question his motivation, which, OK, its basically the one thing you can question after his Junior season, but I don't think it will be an issue honestly. I think he will be driven to become a great NFL DE

You can question his motivation, and despite him "phoning it in" this year the dude was still a game-changer and possibly the SEC's best player besides Manziel. If that's a BAD year for Clowney then that just shows you how much of a baller he is.

If the first pick is QB, I can absolutely see the Rams staying put for Clowney, unfortunately.

For what it's worth, I remember Jamal Lewis here at UT who was amazing his junior year but didn't do much in his senior year, and he was possibly the most underrated RB of the last decade before Baltimore had to run him into the ground. Dammit. But guess there's a precedent for this panning out.

I still think QB will be the pick unless they REALLY trust O'Brien to coach up a 2nd/3rd round guy just because the position is too important. Don't think they'll sign Michael Vick (where do you guys think he goes?) But you saw just how much help O'Brien was for a guy like McGloin at Penn State so maybe you're right.

Or we can all be wrong. http://fansided.com/2014/01/24/nfl-draft-rumors-texans-hc-bill-obrien-favors-blake-bortles/#!tjRaD

Just about the last thing the Rams need is another pass rusher. They already have Quinn who had 19 sacks and Chris Long is a stud who they are heavily invested in. They would love for Clowney to be there @ #2 because it means they would get more value for the pick, but they would still trade it IMO.

I really think you guys are trippin by just saying "the position is too important they have to go QB". That's a loser's mentality. You have to accumulate the most talent you can, and passing on a stud like Clowney to just draft 'a guy' at QB would be Blue. Let's face it, none of these QBs are Manning/Luck type prospects. Clowney is so much more of a sure deal it isn't even funny. And again, pass rush is the 2nd most important thing in this league after QB play. It won the Giants 2 SBs against one of the GOAT QBs. Watt and Clowney would be a fucking legendary tandem, fuck taking Bridgewater or Manziel or Bortles, I'm going to have the two best DL in the league on my team for the next decade. See you in Canton when I'm being inducted into the HOF as a GM, peace.

Clowney will be great. He's the only dude in the draft that I'd trade up for if I'm a GM. The rest are all Boom or Busts IMO. You never really know, but with Clowney, you know.

Can't blame them for thinking QB because the media has drilled into their brain that you have to have a great QB to win. Obviously Eli and Flacco showed otherwise.
