- The January 20, 2014 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw scored a 3.46 rating, up 11% from last week’s 3.12 rating.
The episode featuring Batista’s WWE return drew the highest overall rating since March 4, 2013. The show topped the post-WrestleMania episode in April 2013, which scored a 3.45 rating.
- Raw averaged 4.869 million viewers, which is up 11% from last week’s average of 4.403 million viewers.
It was the most viewers for an episode of Raw since March 4, 2013, also topping the post-WrestleMania episode.
The first hour drew 5.249 million viewers, the second hour reached 4.995 million viewers, and a 13% decline to 4.363 million viewers for the third hour.
The downside of the show is that Raw lost nearly one million viewers from the first to third hour, representing an in-show decline of 17%.
Looking at the first hour’s performance, this was the first time since March 4, 2013 that any hour of Raw topped five million viewers. Also, the average of 5.249 million was the most viewers for any hour of Raw since the post-Royal Rumble episode one year ago.
Really impressive to see it beat post-WM RAW numbers. Hopefully they don't think it was just down to Batista.
