So with Anderson getting his first taste of a major title, it seems like things are looking up for the former Mr. Kennedy..........Kennedy.

Problem is, his first Impact and his momentum was killed fast, he didn't get anytime to look like a champion and sold a beating from a guy who just 24 hrs prior couldn't beat him with his finish moves.

Where does this put Anderson? Is he just holding the title until Jeff Hardy can get past that pesky drug charges, or is he actually getting the ball?

Thoughts...

Anderson is getting a tryout so to speak in my opinion. They want to see if he is a credible champion before they put the strap back on Hardy.

With Hardy's charges coming to a head, I believe they just had to take Hardy out of the face of the company picture for a little bit until it blows over. When it does, which would be relatively soon, they'll put the title back on him and go down the same direction as before. That's what I think.

I think Scott is giving TNA too much credit. I think they book like children. They put the belt on Anderson to end Genesis because it was such a suprising and super neat thing to do! Then they will put the belt back on Hardy within a couple of months, because he is their boy, of couse this will render the whole thing pointless, but never mind!

It is possible they took the title off him because of the charges, but then that begs the question why put it on him in the first place. When Hardy does get it again, it should be as a face, because this heel thing just doesn't work.

I think that Anderson is just keeping the title warm until Jeff Hardy's trial is over with. No need for negative publicity by having a criminal as your figurehead. This is a way to test out Anderson as well, a tryout like Scott said, see how he goes as the main guy whilst Hardy is out and then they will know whether they can use Anderson as a champion in the future. Also there weren't many other options for TNA to put the title on whilst Hardy is in court so Anderson was lucky in that sense that he didn't have much competition.

I haven't seen any episodes since he has been champion so I will have to catch one to see how he works as a champion.

Still not even being the focus of the show. Being overlooked and taking a back seat to Hardy/RVD which is Blue since February 3rd is the rematch. TNA is run by blueberries, I don't ever think I could do a better job than pros, but TNA seems to be run be stupid efedders.

Hey Troy I am pleased Anderson has it, but now I need to give him a proper run with it, something I don't see happening.
