The recent Ring of Honor TV tapings and internet pay-per-view were the last scheduled appearances for The Briscoe Brothers. It's worth noting that Jay currently holds the ROH World Title. There is talk within ROH that the brothers are "headed for greener pastures" which could mean a WWE developmental deal. At the same time, there is some talk that they're just on hiatus but it looks like they're leaving the company.

If so, then I guess the title is changing hands at the TV tapings. WWE could use them if they want a credible tag team division.

Title didn't change hands at the taping. Hardy vs Briscoe is set for the next PPV I believe. Hope Hardy takes the belt. He's on fire right now in ROH.

Strange, guess it's BS then.
Nah, ROH are just confident they can get Briscoe for one more appearance. If not the ppv then I guess at the next taping which would be in July since ROH tapes one month of shows in one sitting.

Matt Hardy for World Champ then, I'd love that. But, I think it'd be strange if the Briscoes went to WWE. I don't know, I just don't think it'd work. I never liked the idea of Jay being World Champion anyway so this is good news for me.

Hardy as ROH world champ would be gold. He has stepped up his heel work massively and better ring work and shape will come with working matches. And he can develop his character to hide his flaws.

Pwinsider has some more on it on their elite section:

All signs are pointing that Mark and Jay Briscoe have wrestled for the last time in Ring of Honor. Yes, that Jay Briscoe, the ROH World Champion. Ring of Honor did not have Mark Briscoe appear on the TV taping on Sunday. They ran an angle that he had been injured the night before against Jay Briscoe leading to Kevin Steen getting involved in the Steel Cage Warfare match that was the main event of the tapings and what ROH built up to in thr 4 weeks of TV. However, Ring of Honor also did an angle where, after defeating Matt Hardy, to retain the ROH Championship, Jay Briscoe was attacked by Hardy and Steve Corino and a couple of other heels and laid out and beaten down..pretty much destroyed and it was described to be as a heavy, heavy, heavy angle. And in speaking to a number of Ring of Honor sources, over the last 12 hours or so, that was the last scheduled appearance for either Briscoe brother for the forseeable future. There is talk they may be departing the company and at the very least they will be on a hiatus for some time. This has nothing to do with the Jay Briscoe Twitter incident, it was something arranged way prior to this PPV & TV taping. The story making the rounds is that they were leaving for greener pastures, but they may not be leaving. Atthe very least they will be on a hiatus and what the hell this means for the ROH Championship, your guess is as good as mine. Common sense would dictate that Briscoe will be stripped of the belt if he is not coming back or if he's going to be on an extended hiatus, similar to TNA stripping Rob Van Dam of his championship in 2010.

2 weeks ago I would have said the Briscoes leaving for WWE was terrible. Now I actually have a bit of confidence that they won't be completely butchered before appearing on WWE TV.
