The first Annual Wrestling Smarks forums Awards 2010.

I won't start this just let as it is still only October, but I was thinking of getting it going in the first or second week of December.

I thought it would be a good idea for members of this forum to vote on awards for the best of Wrestling in 2010. So we will have best match, best promotion, best wrestler, best tag team and best event amongst other things. And will try and keep it up every year. Even through voteing will open in December you can always go back and change edit your votes if you have a change of mind on anything.

Just one question, do you think it would be best of me to list candaites for each list and you just vote for one of them or might it be best just to let people vote for anyone they like. The only resevation I have about this is that if only a few people vote the bigger companies might have a unfair adventuge. Whereas when I select may contenders on each list I will give a wide range of promotions and Wrestlers a look in.

Great idea. Would love to have this as an annual thing where the members select their favourites things in wrestling for the year, could be the start of a great tradition.

I think the idea of having a list of options for people to chose with an other option is the best way to go about it.

Okay thanks for the feed back guys! I think I will go with five catidates for each one. Just one other thing do you think there should be awards for the worse as well as the best of things.

I will be annoncing the candiates next week, now while my decission is final, I would like input from other people, nothing is set in stone until I annonce it here. So if someone comes up with something I didn't think of and I agree it might well get included. So any ideas for best wrestler, tag team and match for example would be most welcome.

Thanks Prodigy and thanks again Scott, in the end I decided I would go with your vote for match of the year which was on the list just because once the nominations have been annonce I think the selections should come from them, also having not seen that Dragon Gate match I can't comment on how good it was.
