Usually by this time of the year there's a standout guy who looks certain to win the Rumble much like Sheamus was last year, however this year is it just me or is there not a single guy that stands out above the rest who you'd be willing to put your money on to win the thing? I guess not really knowing the WrestleMania plans doesn't help, so thinking of what I suspect we might get, I still can't really pick an outright winner.

I think Cena winning might be interesting and going on to Mania for a Triple Threat against Punk & Rock because there are obviously so many tie ins there, but I think we've had too much Punk/Cena recently that this won't happen.

I don't know how they could justify it, but Punk entering the Rumble after losing the title to The Rock could be quite the swerve given that he's never won it before, but obviously he gets an automatic rematch anyway so i'm not sure if they could logically make that happen.

Ryback obviously has a chance and may get a strong showing in the Rumble but I think it would be totally foolish to give it to him this early on.

My only other choice and the person i'm probably going to go with is Randy Orton. He's not had anything happen for him for quite a long time now and I reckon a Mania match with Sheamus will be on the cards. They're now two high profile guys who could quite easily go on later in the show although that won't happen i'm sure and whether it's by luck or good judgement, they've done a good job of not having this feud on SmackDown so far so it will be fresh even if it did happen on RAW a while ago.

Who are you guys picking at the minute?

Hmmm... I think with Ryback getting the kind of pops he's getting he's sure to be a finalist, if not the winner.

The only person I can really see at the moment is Ryback or possibly an established star like Orton that needs something to do like Dale said.

Can't help but feel that they are somewhat thinking about having Punk hold on to the title till Mania and have Ryback win the rumble to finally have a match and try and make the guy a star out of it. Thus far he is who I see as a favorite. If Punk lost the belt before then then I say he if the favorite for sure. Outside of that it's very much up in the air for me.

ryback or barrett.... unless Rock beats Punk for the title, then Cena will win the rumble to set up Rock v Cena 2 where Cena can win the strap

For me Damien Sandow seems like a very good darkhorse to win the Rumble or if he doesn't win it at least get to the final four. He has had a rapid rise so far and his match against Sheamus last week and the amount of offense he had shows that WWE have a lot of faith in him. Would be a shock winner.

Ryback could do it to set something up for WM but I just can't see it at the moment. I don't think that he will get the win there.

I don't think that this year should be used to give an established name like a Cena or an Orton a win. WWE desperately need more stars so use this event to give someone a chance whether it is a Kofi, Barrett, Ryback, Rhodes etc. They aren't ready yet but sooner or later WWE have to take a chance and see how they go when given the ball.

Lesnar wins the Rumble as surprise entry? Just stirring the pot here to see what that would create.

Sandow is my dark horse pick as well but I'm hearing a lot of reports that they are planning Orton vs Sheamus for WHC at Mania. If that happens, then hopefully a bigger name will win it. Lesnar would be a waste even though it would be an interesting swerve. Its tough to say but I really hope it's not Ryback.

It'll be a Smackdown guy, Raw's Road to Mania looks fairly obvious with the path they will take.

I think the best bet is Orton if he doesn't get suspended again. He needs something again to catapult himself back into relevancy at the moment. Also even if I felt Orton/Sheamus the first time around wasn't that great. I still felt they made great rivals so I'm all for them having a match at Wrestlemania. It's the next step for them and the blue brand in my opinion. The last few years WWE has been testing the water too much with SmackDown! when it comes WM title matches.

Ryback doesn't deserve the winner yet but considering his push and every week I take him more seriously, I'll look closer to the Rumble for his chances.

What are you going with then because I still feel like at the minute there's an odd guy out.

Also to KIF, one positive that can be taken from Sheamus/Orton feuding should it happen is that both guys have come on leaps and bounds since then, dare I say two totally different monsters in the ring.

Either Cena wins the title at one of the next couple of PPV's (I'm calling it at Hell in a Cell), drops it to The Rock at the Rumble and Rock/Punk happens at Mania, OR Punk loses the strap at the Rumble and the Cena/Rock rematch happens at Mania, but for the title this time.

Def. those three anyway, I just assume Lesnar will be facing Taker so that rules him out, and Ryback just won't be ready to headline yet. (he could still win the Rumble and be in Smackdown's title match however)

That's what i'm figuring which is why I said one guy is the odd one out so to speak.

I figure we get Cena/Rock again and Brock/Taker which leaves Punk as the odd one out and even if he doesn't have the title facing Ryback won't be a big enough match given the title reign that he's had.

At the moment I do think Orton is in his prime. He just needs to focus more on wrestling instead of his Family and drugs. I know part of that sounds biased. I like drugs too. And Sheamus is getting better every week just being in the main event scene.
