Always remember seeing a clip of the Jeremy Kyle Show (basically the UK version of The Jerry Springer Show)
A guy was being beaten up by his girlfriend and he said he had to jump from the 3rd floor window in their apartment, just to get away from her. The audience, of which was mostly women, started laughing at him. And Jeremy Kyle (who is loathed by many people) rightly berated the audience for laughing.

I remember this, it was incredibly refreshing giving, well, the Jeremy Kyle show.
