Kendrick vs. Kendrick - Coming Soon

Hoss

HELL IS NOT A MYTH
This is a little tournament concept I picked up from another forum about 10 years ago that I thought would be fun to bring over. Now I could have done the democratic thing and put this up to a vote but democracy is overrated and I feel like since it was my idea, I should be able to do what I want.

The concept is really simple. We take all the songs from an artist's discography and put them in a tournament. We vote on which songs we like the best until we determine an artist's greatest/most beloved song.

I have decided our first tournament will be Kendrick Lamar's discography. Why? Because I know we have a good amount of members here who are familiar with Kendrick and will be interested in participating. Beyond that, Kendrick has one of the most prolific discographies in hip hop and music as a whole (the man won a Pulitzer Prize (your fav could never)). After we wrap this up, depending on participation and interest, we can do another artist/band/whatever. I have no problem doing different genres and eras. I personally listen to a lot of shit and even if someone recommends something I'm not familiar with or not a fan of, if there's enough support, I'm happy to still go ahead with it. So do feel free to suggest future subjects. Just make sure they have a good body of work.

So expect a bracket in the coming days and the first round of polls to go up. All the songs from The Kendrick Lamar EP, Overly Dedicated, Section .80, Good Kid Maad City, To Pimp A Butterfly, Untitled. Unmastered., DAMN., The Black Panther Soundtrack (songs where he was the lead artist), as well as some of the more significant loonies he's put out like Westside, Right On Time and The Heart parts 1-4. All his singles will be included. This will only include songs where he is the lead artist, so no features like Control or Mona Lisa will be included. The seeding will be randomized.

I want to stress that even if you aren't familiar with his work, or don't find him to be your cup of tea, you can still easily participate. I'll post the songs in the threads and all you'll have to do is listen and vote for the one you liked best (or hated the least). I know that's a long shot, but I don't want people to think they need to be a fan of the artist in order to participate.

How are you deciding the bracket order EC?
I was just going to completely randomize it because the only way of seeding that would make sense would be doing it by project/release date, but I think it would be boring if all the matchups were songs from the same albums up until the final rounds personally.
