The WWE needs to do these type of video packages for their other superstars. It humanizes them. They used to do it years ago with the My Desire and Sacrifice videos they made for their roster but stopped suddenly

Think the Creed band breakup actually influenced them stopping. Stupid but it was about the same time.

I actually resent the fact they do so much of this on the television program, particularly around Mania time when you really need your audience to buy into the program the most.

IT KILLS THE KAYFABE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah buy when you collect the dvd's and have already heard them say all this shit a billion times, it gets annoying.
Yeah but at the end of the day it humanizes the wrestler and character. They did them years ago with Austin , Rock, Taker, the Hardys, HHH, Kurt, and all those guys under the tagline My Desire and My Sacrifice. They help you build a connection. A lot of guys on the current roster lack that connection and could use this medium to establish it as it would show who they are. I hope they see how well it goes for Rock and Cena, and then use them for the likes of a Dolph, Cody, Bryan, Sheamus, or Swagger

Fair enough, but some would argue "humanizing them" kills the mystique. Makes your mind separate the show's content from the wrestlers themselves, which isn't always a great idea.

But it build the connection. I know we all like to think of them as bullet proof, having no fear, or anything but they are human. even the toughest athlete in the world at the top of their sports are human no matter how ice cold they are on the court, field, or mound. You would think that connection is what they want to establish and exploit so that people buy Mania to watch these guys they identify with.

Do them more like My Sacrifice then. Guys break bones, get sticthes, get hurt, love behind families, etc all for a dream and desire to be the best, to Make a WM, or to be a champion. You could very well tweak it to that old school format that they used in the HHH and Austin videos for example
