also cp's earlier point didnt make any sense either "magic is giving a town read to odo really early considering he's a strong scum player"

lol wat.

i dont recall hesitating with giving town reads just because a player is strong and for odo in particular it makes less sense.

actually the first thing i said was within the post itself which is:

"he doesn't care about roles so that wouldn't really stop him, but killing the bg day 1 is annoying nonetheless especially when you can sort of direct his shots. zoning in on a read like that lines up with what he does though."

like you're blatantly ignoring this and jumping to the part after it. this is a description of what he does as town.
None of this sounds like a town read to me though?

I thought you were a good player? You should understand these things

no i mean idk how to use that post in terms of reading you. i dont think ive ever really seen you make that sort of post as either alignment.

that is describing his town meta. he doesn't care about roles as town when he's deciding a lynch(and we have argued about it often) and often zones in on a read when he thinks he's right and tries removing them(which we have also argued about). "zoning in on a read is what he does" as town, which i thought would be obvious given a gave him a town read but i guess not.

i later compared it to what he did in his last scum game too.

It does seem foolhardy to use that d1 relatively early into the phase with people still left to post. Not as cerebral as I would expect from Odo, more impulsive.
eh that seems par the course for odo tho?

zoning into a read and focusing in on it. i dont really get what you mean

your multiquote wasn't bad.

this is a post literally responding to you with similar reasoning to that first post where i called him town so i dont know how you missed it.

i'll assume you didnt read this post because it was pig:

eh, he usually doesn't make those posts as scum. town odo always feels like he won't be lynched ever because he's town and knows he can convey his towniness(at least in his head).

there's the amount of his involvement in day 1. most of the stuff he went for this day phase were his own reads and directions. compare this to his last scum game where he sort of just went along with what jeff was doing while 'agreeing' with what he said. he didnt try to overly involved himself in any of those pushes or be aggressive with his reads like he did this game.

also i'm not sure if odo kills the bg day 1 as scum anyways. it would make him look bad the longer he survives opposed to trying to win your favour so youre protecting him and he doesnt look bad for surviving. he wouldn't want to draw the heat of the day kill either and probably would want to use when there's less 'good players' alive to potentially criticize him for his selection.

his general attitude lines up with his town demeanor too.

there's a lot to show odo is town. but most of ALL, he said the day kill in the thread!

odo picked his own targets and then zoned into a scum read versus scum odo agreeing these people are scummy and just going with jeff's flow.

odo is most noticably different on day 1 as well as im sure he would tell you.

again this all seems like youre ignoring everything to focus on "well he said that one line about the daykill having to be posted in the thread and that's an awful reason to town read someone".

i disagree as i dont think most would think to fake that and if that was my only reasoning then it would be a weak read that could obviously change based on play.

which is also what you seem to be ignoring. if that was my only reason for town reading him why do you think it's like the end of the world and there's no room for the read to change?

Tweet, you got a good role? :hayden3
Let’s get these fuckers Tweet :goku
I’d too like to see the reads from Haza. not fully inclined to lynch a non counter claimed BG on Day 1 but we’ve got time to see that through.

I’m not going to vote Tweet.
Looked back over Chimp’s post, all 8 of em. I’m still pretty comfortable there but i understand people’s hesitation as Tweet is at the front of it.
I don’t know why you’re asking me this question, I’m the only one who took a firm stance on not voting tweet.

eh, if one of tweet or phen0m are scum the other likely is too.

phen0m immediately brings attention to tweet's soft in the start of the game, doesn't really want to vote him at any point, and i remember there was another instance of phen0m talking about tweet's role(that isnt included here because i cbf'd searching phenom's post for it) about how the role hint made tweet look town.

the bringing attention to the role thing multiple times made me think he wanted to divert attention away from wagoning tweet.

I think you're overstating my position. I'm not saying any of that didn't happen I'm just pointing out that one specific thing that felt really odd to me and forced.

Anyway seems pretty clear to me chimp v2 and big man are scum. Not sure on Haza v2, he's playing weirdly but there are also EMOTIONS involved. We should probably resolve that situation one way or another soon as it'd be nice to know who I can trust.

ok i was wrong in regards to the amount of suspicion on tweet. outside of the 4 that voted doddsy it was pretty much only smark/haza v1 that also said he looked scummy. it did seem a lot more than that but i was wrong.

Happy to trust Smark and his miller claim. Tweet has a smell about him.
Not a soft of what the role is, but softing there's something to the role. Which is similar to what he did last game.

I don't think that's enough to go off, but interesting to note.
Welp, one of CP, Haza and Tweet will be dying today

Cant wait to see which

:fplam:

Can you just answer the question please. Why are you so worried about it having to be one you, CP or Tweet?

If Odo retracted his statement would you push him today or would you go elsewhere and if Odo didn't retract his statement would you really not push someone else if you got a scum read on them simply because Odo said it would only be you, CP or Tweet?
Tweet defending himself under very little pressure with a terrible defence is something
Nah I'm not scum my guess would be Tweet or Sky for now I havent seen anything that stands out I'll be more use tomorrow when I'm not on my phone
Shawn, lethal, smark and Odo in my town pile

Tweet and Sky in my scum pile
Not opposed to new!Haza's lynch, his tunnelling of Odo from a past life is odd, because that really wasn't a scummy daykill and this really isn't a scummy Odo. Out of the wagons that are on 3, it's CP > Chimp >>>> Tweet for me

:francis

I don't much like this is as reasoning, as you're trying to tell me you intentionally bit on the bait, without any sort of consideration to whether or not Magic would just jump at you right away, or that you'd be sussed for it?

This is 100% true, Magic does this thing all the time. It's not alignment indicative however, he's done it enough that it can easily be replicated.

Getting the complete opposite read of Sky so that's interesting.

Why is that scummy behavior?

:komintrigue:

What makes you add the "with a scum team that wants me to make as few waves as possible?" part? That's an odd thing to mention, seeing as who knows if your scum team has an issue with risk-taking or not
I've got fairly standard reads so far, agree with most of the ones that have been said. Smark town, Sky town, Tweet scummy, Haza scummy. Don't much see the CP stuff at the moment. Not going to say Magic is town yet either for some people are saying that.

Odo looks good early as he's about doing stuff. Like Phenom at the moment as well.

these two posts actually did catch my eye tho. it's the sort of bussing doddsy does. i was looking it more from the "if big man/doddsy are scum together" perspective, but this is the sort of shade he usually throws on his teammates.

@Odo @Rugrat thoughts? @TheRedPrince

or anyone else

I never got a chance to finish the whole thread but Doddsy is the only one who has stuck out as suspicous to me from what i've read. im not really buying his suspicion on tweet.

in this post he implies he doesn't believe tweet intentionally voted brad and is reading him scum for it, but later

he says he's not saying tweet voted because he legit bought into the wagon and is now citing different reasoning. this seems a bit contradictory to me? if he didn't buy into the wagon then how can he unintentionally 'bite that bait'? doesn't really make sense, it seems like he found more solid reasoning after further questoning and is now using that instead (which it is more solid).

also if tweet is scum and knows the wagon is 'bait' wouldn't it make more sense for him not to get on knowing he risks suspicion as opposed to if he's town where he wouldn't care as much?

^which adds a bit more credibility to big man's case.

I currently prefer Doddsy to big man, but he’s not really a player I’ve had much success reading, mainly cause I have to read all of his posts hours after they happened so I lose a lot of feel for him
