It has been a strange week or two for Matt Hardy. He supposedly caused some problems back stage, people were worried about his condition, and he was sent home from a local house show. Then he went overseas on a tour with WWE, but was sent home from it. He then denied it but was proven to be a liar when WWE officials confirmed the news that he had been sent home.

Matt Hardy has also been in terrible physical shape lately, after a recent surgery, he just doesn't look fit anymore. His recent tweets, mainly him denying he had been sent home when he had, make many question his mental stability at the moment.

What is going on with this guy?

He seems to be legitimately crazy theses days and seems to believe his own hype. He is in terrible shape and doesn't seem fit mentally or physically to be on television anymore. The guy seems to want WWE to fire him so that he can join his druggie brother Jeff in TNA. I hope that WWE does because he just isn't worth keeping on in his current state. Unless he gets back in shape mentally and physically WWE should just release him.

There is no need to worry about a Hardy Boys reunion in TNA because Jeff Hardy, who when he left WWE was a massive star having just lost the WWE title, couldn't even boost the ratings for them. Matt Hardy, who is nowhere near as popular won't be able to help their ratings.

I think that WWE should cut their loses and just fire Hardy, they can focus their money and time on other wrestlers who are more deserving.

What do you think about Matt Hardy? Do you think he should stay with WWE? Do you think WWE should fire him? Would you like to see him in TNA?

Well imo Jeff will come back to WWE in the future because they were really HIGH on him there (no pun intended). Although he had a drug problem (apparantely) he was still dedicated to what he did and risked all to get to the top. Matt however is a lazy bastard who isn't willing to work for anything. I mean It's kinda wierd how only two from E&C and The Hardyz every became greats because I really liked Hardy as a kid. However there is still time for Christian.

I am not sure if WWE will bother with Jeff anymore. They brought him back once before after he left them for TNA and they offered him a great contract before he re-joined TNA and he didn't accept so I can't see WWE trying to secure his signature again, especially not at the level of contract he had before.

Matt seems like someone who expects WWE to bow down at his feet and give him everything now. Yes he has been there for a long time and he has a section of the fan base who cheer him like crazy but he just isn't reliable enough to be the top guy. He has proven to be unpredictable and not up to the challenge of being the number one man on the brand.

I agree that there is still time for Christian, he seems like a company man and someone who works hard. Hopefully in a year or two when guys like Kane, Undertaker, Rey(possibly) step back he can get a shot at the title.

A fan asked Matt Hardy on Twitter if there was any chance he'd team up again with his brother Jeff to re-form The Hardy Boys. Matt's response:

A 100% chance :) And I can't wait..

OK seems like he is on Thin Ice for sure.

Here is another question and answer from Matt's Twitter.

Randon User: @MATTHARDYBRAND What r the chances 2 c u @ WWE Europe tour in November? Or would it be better 2 buy tics 4 TNA in Berlin in January?
Matt Hardy: I'd go with Berlin..

This could just be Matt being Matt, however with everything that has happened it seems pretty clear that he is going to be fired/leave WWE and then head to TNA. He has also been pulled from some appearances and house shows.

Personally, I'm not sure how much it matters if Matt Hardy goes. He's pretty much a popular enhancement talent by now. He could be worthwhile if he was paid attention to, but at the same time if he disappeared tomorrow it wouldn't matter. If I were the WWE would release him, and pay less money to someone else to do just as good a job.

Fair call, it seemed like WWE was never going to push him as a star and they have plenty of other wrestlers on Smackdown who can fill the role that he currently plays. Plus like you mentioned he would be on quite a bit of money and they can push someone who is cheaper and who would be more dedicated to the role.

Matt did get screwed in my opinion. While I enjoyed the matches, I thought to start a Jeff- Matt feud was one of the dumbest things I ever seen. I got back into wrestling during that time and if it wasn't for Raw being awesome, I probably would have stopped. The feud never should have took place, as Matt was doing so great as a face. I hope Matt has success elsewhere because I don't think he can be a heavyweight champion in WWE. There is way more talent out there that is more capable. I will continue to see how Matt is doing because the guy is still one of my favorite all time. Call him lazy, fat, stale but when it comes to loving the business I don't think no one loves it more than Matt Hardy.
