The following is from TMZ.com:

Macho Man Randy Savage -- one of the most famous wrestlers of all-time -- died today in a car accident in Tampa, Florida ... TMZ has learned.

TMZ spoke with Randy's brother, Lanny Poffo, who tells us the wrestling legend suffered a heart attack while he was behind the wheel around 10 AM ... and lost control of his vehicle.

Earlier this month, Savage celebrated his 1-year anniversary with his new wife Lynn.

Savage was 58.

Macho Man began wrestling in the WWF in 1985 and became a superstar with his trademark catchphrase "Ooooooh Yeaahhhhh."

What's your favorite Savage moment?

First all that is a huge shock, and 58 is no age at all, and it is sad just one year after getting married. A true legend of the sport, who at least until the final few years of his career was highly respected. One of the unique things about him I think was that for a heavy weight he wrestled a pretty high risk style, and managed to get that over while, still understanding the tried and tested basics of the sport.

While he may have been the most conherent on the mic, he was certainly very colourful, and really convincing, epscally when playing the mad man character. But most of all when a performer he was in ring, his match with Ricky Steamboat at WM3 has to be one of the finest in Mania history, and lets not forget the way he dragged compelling matches out of the likes of Hogan and The Warrior, this has to be his greatest victory, but even for most his WCW career he worked highly respectable matches, with the likes of Sting, DDP, and even Lex Luger.

A sad loss indeed, the man was a legend, R.I.P and all the best to his friends and family.

Damn I don't read any wrestling news for three days and this is the first news item I see when returning. So sad that this happened and sad the way it happened. Not what you expect to read and I hope that his wife Lynn recovers from her injuries. Terrible news and it just puts a damper on everything. He and WWE hadn't gotten along for a long time but hopefully they give him a nice video package since he was huge when he was part of WWE and he was a key component in the early days.

RIP Randy Savage

I'm not going to get all upset an emotional, as I didn't see enough of Macho Man to be that way....but this is still a sad loss as he was liked by so many people and affected them....

The fact that there have only been three reponses so far is a descrace in it self, come on people this was one of the most talented, and constantly over guys maybe ever, who did a quite deal for wrestling.

My favorite Savage quote ever sums it up perfectly. Can't do anything about it but sucks that he is gone. The man was wrestling when I was growing up and put on some absolute clinics in the ring and was a unbelievable mic man outside it. His work will live on forever and now that he's gone I expect Vince to put him in the Hall next year.

Calm down hambone, some of us had shit to do.

Some of my views. Macho Man was one of the most captivating individuals I've ever seen on TV. Not just a great wrestler, he was also a great promo with off beat mannerisms that was unparralelled. I will always remember Macho Man as the most deserving person that hasn't been put in the HOF yet.

Such a sad tragedy.

Macho Mans matches are timeless there are few matches fromt he 80s that hold up today, but Macho was ahead of his time. He employed a more athletic style that was mixed with great in ring psychology. His match with Steamboat as heralded as it is, was great mind you, but I always thought his feud with Ric Flair was better. Especially when he got the WCW. The man was able to carry the worst worker of all time to a classic match. No one can compare to the level of workrate Randy Savage had.

Macho's promos were something else, and when he got on a mic was highly entertaining, he was also underrated when he was doing commentary. I think he could've been one of the best if he stuck with it.

I would only disagree on the last bit, he was a terrible commentator, just rambling, and really clitched cartoon goodguy. But the rest I would say you are spot on about. Have to see more of his feud with Flair in WCW, only seen bits on Nitro, it must be something special if it is better than their WWF feud.
