WWE Superstars Has Been Cancelled

UPDATE: PWInsider has confirmed that WWE has discontinued production on Superstars. 205 Live is being considered the replacement for the show, with the belief that the live cruiserweight show will add greater value to WWE Network subscriptions.

WWE Main Event will now be taped on Mondays before Raw instead of Tuesdays before Smackdown.

ORIGINAL: It appears that WWE could be doing away with WWE Superstars. Wrestling Inc reports that there were no matches for Superstars taped on Monday for Raw, and there is no episode listed for this Friday on the Network. WWE taped matches for Main Event instead; you can see those spoilers here.

With the addition of 205 Live which airs after Smackdown, it is possible that WWE is using it to replace Superstars on the schedule, or WWE may be in the process of working out the scheduling and have just taken it off for this week. WWE has yet to respond to requests for comment regarding Superstars’ status.
I didn't even realize Superstars was still a thing. Main Event barely struggles to stay alive.

Can't believe it's taken this long in all honesty, would love to know what sort of numbers the show got because the shows just always seemed to be filled with the fringe superstars really who couldn't get on the main shows. Main Event should be next too.

It was the Sunday Night Heat of the new era. I only knew it still existed cause the wrestling news website I go on posted results.

I'd say Main Event was a lot closer to being Heat. Superstars was Velocity or Shotgun Saturday night.

Its the end of an era well sort of:George-costanza:

They should have just lefted Superstars as it was in the 90s, even the late 90s/early 00s model would have worked.
