Zsa Zsa Gabor's Daughter Ask Court to Intervene in Mother's Care

Zsa Zsa Gabor’s daughter asked a judge to intervene in her mother's medical care and financial affairs.

In a petition filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, Francesca Hilton asks that a conservator be appointed by the court to manage her 95-year-old mother's affairs.

Hilton claims that Gabor's husband, Prince Frederick Von Anhalt, has mismanaged her finances and left her increasingly isolated from family and friends.

Gabor has suffered from a series of medical problems in recent years, including a broken hip and an infected lesion that resulted in the amputation of the actress' right leg. Her prolonged hospitalizations have left her confined to bed.

As evidence that Von Anhalt is abusing his position, attorneys for Hilton claim that Gabor's Bel Air home is in financial default. They further claim that Von Anhalt negotiated a $700,000 loan on the equity of Gabor's home.

"What Ms. Hilton is seeking here is for the court to make sure that Zsa Zsa’s best interests are not being sacrificed for the selfish interests of anyone involved in Zsa Zsa’s life," Hilton's attorney, Kenneth W. Kossoff said in a statement. "Having the court supervise Zsa Zsa’s care and finances will serve to ensure that Zsa Zsa’s interests are being protected by whoever is in charge of her person and estate – whether Ms. Hilton, von Anhalt or an independent third party appointed by the court."

Von Anhalt denied Hilton's accusations, saying that he Hilton he had only negotiated the loan to pay for his wife's medical care. He told TheWrap that the couple's financial burdens stemmed from Hilton's decision to refinance her mother's Bel Air home.

"Miss Hilton is a sick woman and she doesn't know what's going on," Von Anhalt said. "It's all about money. She's being waiting around for 65 years for her mother's money, but my wife needs the money for her health."
