Zak Cummings meets Kenny Robertson at UFC Fight Night 45

The UFC’s return to Atlantic City has a new welterweight bout on the bill.

Zak Cummings (17-3 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and Kenny Robertson (13-3 MMA, 3-3 UFC) have agreed to meet at UFC Fight Night 45 this July. UFC officials announced the new booking on Friday afternoon, saying verbal agreements are in place for the fight.

UFC Fight Night 45 takes place July 16 at Revel Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, N.J. Main-card fights air live on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on UFC Fight Pass.

Cummings gets his next booking less than two weeks after his unanimous decision win over Yan Cabral at UFC Fight Night 40 in Cincinnati. That moved him to 2-0 in the UFC following his submission win over Ben Alloway at UFC Fight Night 27 this past August. He now has won four straight fights and seven of his past eight.

Robertson got back on track with a first-round submission of Thiago Perpetuo at UFC Fight Night 38 in March in Brazil. That bounced him back after a majority decision loss to Sean Pierson at UFC 161. He has alternated between wins and losses throughout his time in the UFC and now looks for his first winning streak since starting his career 10-0 before signing with the UFC.

With the addition to the lineup, UFC Fight Night 45 now includes:

Donald Cerrone vs. Jim Miller
John Lineker vs. Alptekin Ozkilic
John Howard vs. Rick Story
Pat Healy vs. Gleison Tibau
Edson Barboza vs. Evan Dunham
Jim Alers vs. Lucas Martins
Aljamain Sterling vs. Hugo Viana
Zak Cummings vs. Kenny Robertson

Yeah, this is gonna be a fun card all around. Cerrone vs. Miller and Barboza vs. Dunham in particular should both be real good ones.
