Edge isn’t a huge shock when he’s been back plenty of times recently and was pretty much known to be coming back. if this was 2020, then Edge at 30 would be huge. Now, no.

Had they kept his return a secret, I would agree with you that he had to be 30. However, since they didn't then I don't think he really needed to be 30. he could have been anywhere between 20 and 30 and it would have been fine.

It'd be a massively deflating way to close out WrestleMania and benefits nobody at all. Just strike while the irons hot, it's the perfect time and platform to cement Cody's position at the top, delaying it for however many months isn't going to get him over any more than he already is.
