Your least favourite commentators (individual/teams)?

This was inspired by two things:
- A conversation in NWA General where Jeff called Velvet Sky the worst commentator ever
- Someone in the WrestleDream thread (I forget who, maybe Butters or RSF?) saying they didn't think they'd name Taz as being on a great commentary team before AEW

Now it's time to settle it. Who, for you, is the worst commentator/commentary team?

Individuals who are in the running for me:

Randy Rosenbloom - The canonical response for "worst commentator ever". This man came on to the Heroes of Wrestling show knowing ZERO about wrestling. Misidentifying a dropkick as a "leg drop" is the most famous example, but worse personally is his calling an armdrag (my favourite transition move) a "reverse slam takedown". Clueless.

Velvet Sky - About as good at commentary as she was safe in the ring. That should say a lot. Offers nothing original other than noises of surprise, which puts her at about the level of Susan St. James at WrestleMania 2. Unfortunately, unlike Susan St. James, this is her day job.

Kevin Gill - The reason I've watched so many hardcore-based shows on mute. Guy who thinks he's Joey Styles, isn't, and tries to make up for it by saying "fuck" for every other word.

Josh Mathews - Look, he might have been OK in WWE, I didn't watch enough episodes of Superstars to notice. But I heard several years of him in Impact, and he was absolutely obnoxious.

Mark Madden - The job of the heel commentator is not to bury everyone and get yourself over. No one told Mark Madden that, for a year and a half.

For teams, I'd have to say either the 2020 Josh Mathews/Madison Rayne run (a dysfunctional married couple squabbles and ignores the match entirely) or the current NWA team of Joe Galli/Velvet Sky/Tim Storm (self explanatory)

Adamle was horrid.

Mark Madden was terrible. The sad thing is he is on the radio here a sport talk guy and calls himself the super genius. The only good thing is he does get some former wrestlers on there, and his fued with Flair recently was great because Flair dropped him from his podcast.

I was not a fan of Mauro at all. I felt that he was fake excited more than anything. It may have been me, but it drove me insane.

Current JR is bad, but I loved him in the 90's.

I don’t get how Booker T keeps getting on these commentary teams.

Also Robot Kevin Patrick, didn’t like him when he was a backstage interviewer nevermind a commentator.

Also, I wouldn't rank him near the bottom but I loved Mike Tenay in WCW in his support role he had there as "The Professor" but couldn't stand him on PBP in TNA.

Some big frontrunners for me:

- Ed Ferrara: Fuck this guy, he's a twat and an annoying prick, and if watching the old TNA shows with Jeff and Sky have shown me anything, it's that he wasn't worth the money he was being paid. Also he and Russo had the bright idea to make fun of Jim Ross, who had more talent in his pinkie finger than Ferrara's had in his entire life.

- Corey Graves: He is just miserable to listen to. A smarmy know-it-all shithead with a grating voice and lame-ass referential humor. It's even worse when he's paired with Byron Saxton and he just comes off as such a fucking cunt to him. This has nothing to do with Graves being a heel as a commentator. Unlike Bobby Heenan, Jesse Ventura, or even Jerry Lawler, Graves just doesn't have the innate charm to be likeable.

- Art Donovan: "HOW MUCH DOES THIS GUY WEIGH!?"

- Steve McMichael: I love Mongo, but he was not cut out for commentary. He's an absolute blight on early Nitro, but I don't think he's completely worthless; he gives me a few laughs every now and again, but yeah.

- Mark Madden: This fuckin' asshole. If anything, Madden came off like the worst kind of Smark you can imagine. Killed any intrigue in matches by shitting on the business, the wrestlers in it, and making it obvious everything was just another storyline, rather than doing what most commentators are supposed to do and try to make you believe and feel something in the moment. Now he does sports, and is just as clueless about sports as he is about wrestling.
