WWE's Board of Directors Announcement

In the latest storyline twist (as predicted last night on the Raw post game show), WWE's Board of Directors "announced" that next week, John Laurinaitis will be in charge of Smackdown, while Teddy Long will oversee Raw.

I'll be interested in seeing how Smackdown gets on with Johnny running it next week. I haven't been watching SD as of late (apart from last weeks live super-show), so I might watch it next week just for Ace.

i don't care what people say i like this guy, his bumbling of words and his scratchy voice gets over me and i actually think he's quite and enjoyable character, teddy long is just plain terrible and i honestly think he needs off tv sooner rarther than later, Tbh mick foley needs be a gm of smackdown he is a beliveable character just like when Flair was raw's gm

Well it should at least make the shows a little more interesting. I have no problem with two people yelling each other at the beginning of Raw and then we hear the MACMILITANT. Teddy laws down the law. On SD! Ace's will try to cause as much chaos on SD! as he can while looking like a complete jackass. It's going to a fun week alright.

Agreed with SAL.

Makes me wonder if they'll even bother with a draft this year.

Pretty much brought that up cause of the whole Raw Supershow thing. This would be more fun and a bigger deal had they enforced the brand split but since they don't in reality this doesn't really do much of anything.

About the only thing it changes is that it rids the word "intern" from Johnny Ace's job description.

I like JL and despise TL. I hope this isn't for long! I guess I will be ok with it if JL becomes manager of both nights. I can only handle the word "playah" so much...

Everybody's already on both shows. This doesn't even remotely matter.

So very true. I don't see how any rivalry could be generated when both are constantly being promoted on each show. Raw vs Smackdown only mattered when they were actually brand exclusive.

So predictable. They could have just announced this on Raw, but nope. As already said, won't make much difference since the brand split is close to dead.

Yeah really not sure why they held out for today. They could have easily said it today or announced it right after Raw.

Nothing against Teddy or anything, but I cannot believe he fucking still has a job. Literally ANYBODY on the roster or backstage with an ounce of acting ability could do the GM role, it's the easiest shit ever. Teddy isn't bursting with personality, nor is he a former wrestler, nor a former announcer. It just seems bizarre he's been in charge of SmackDown for so long.

That being said, I do like Teddy, but not on both brands. I don't want Ace on both either.

I'm just wondering what Laurinitis will be able to do on Smackdown and who he will end up messing with.
