During the 2016 draft Mr. McMahon made the shocking announcement that NXT was merging with Smackdown, and that Monday Night Raw would once again inherit the Diva's and the WWE title. Each brand would share a World TV title and the tag team titles. Mr. McMahon stunned the entire WWE Universe when he would announce that he would hold all the male singles title until someone who proved themselves stepped up and became the new champions of the WWE Universe.
