It’s Vince and his thought process.
You get hurt before you’re a proven commodity and he’ll replace. Think about it…
Seth tore his up. And came back like he never missed a beat…
Finn wasn’t established at the time; tore his shoulder and realistically has never had a shot at being World Champion again.
Oh, I’m aware that’s a track record, but that’s my point though. Dolph has every reason to have been a bitter man because he got thrown away over something that happens to them all.
I’m probably not the best person to make this case because I gave up on Ziggler around 2016 but a lot of that is because the WWE had already given up on him and Ziggler around that time realized that too and he gave up on himself, but that man had everything you needed in 2013 to be one of their top guys if they’re just bothered to give it even one more chance after 2013.
Don’t get me started on Finn. Man was their chosen Universal Champion. Got hurt and then circled the drain until he decided to go back to NXT and he was the best thing going in NXT for like a year straight. Now he’s killing it in Judgment Day. Hopefully, WWE does something with him being a top guy before it’s too late and I say this as someone who not even a big fan, necessarily.
